New California Law is about to take effect that will require data brokers to delete all data they have on all residents

California’s DELETE Act was passed awhile back, but in a few weeks companies must start deleting all data they collected in residents

“The Electronic Frontier Foundation has been concerned about data brokers' business practice for decades. They make their money by collecting information from lots of different sources, sort of analyzing it, repackaging it, selling it to other people”

“After the first round of deletions, data brokers will be required to delete any new data collected every 45 days after that”

The fines for not complying are extremely strict:

$200 per consumer per deletion request per day for failing to delete personal information as required

Example:

- For one consumer’s request ignored for 30 days: $6,000
- For 1,000 consumers ignored for 30 days: $6 million

I am sad. Shocked. To jump on my keyboard right after David Wilcock's tragic and unexpected death felt wrong.

We first met around 2005/2006; over the years, we presented at many of the same UFO conferences like Conscious Life Expo and Contact in the Desert where we'd run into each other from to time. He was a fun guy. Intensely quick. David was always pleasant, engaging, and kind to me, always with a beaming smile and a twinkle in his eyes.

I vividly remember a couple of Ancient Aliens filming sessions around 2010 we had on the same days; I enjoyed watching his interviews tremendously.

The few times we had the chance of breaking bread together, I remember good laughs and wonderful conversations. My friends David Childress and William Henry, Robert Dean, were all there, too.

Another walking encyclopedia is gone, again way too soon.

Go have fun exploring the mysteries of the Universe, David! We shall continue to do the same from here on Earth. God speed.

My love and condolences to David's family and loved ones.

I built https://t.co/R1jAMUfNTv — a free public database for American citizens who deserve safer communities.
You can track which judges released defendants who then got rearrested, skipped court, or violated their release conditions. All public records. All free.
I started with Orange County FL and will be expanding to all 67 Florida counties and eventually every state in the country. This first batch of info is from 2024 and since public reports are released in March/April for the previous year, data is behind. But I wanted to see if this is plausible. After adding 2024,I'll add 2025 and then figure out how to get real-time-data uploaded.
