I like this quote. But the problem in today's world of social media confirmation bias echo chambers, is that both sides of so many polarising issues think they're the ones standing firm on the side of truth, and that their opponents are the deluded ones. Worth remembering that.
@DrNickA@MonkEmma We have Cameron, followed by May, followed by Boris, followed by Truss, followed by Sunak, each worse than the last, but you think Labour are the most hated government in decades?! You're delusional!
@pastelETH@Longswordwife The many rules and regulations regarding hormone treatment and testosterone levels that exist to prevent exactly that sort of abuse.
@KlohammerJ @escmatthew It was all jury voting till the mid 90s, when the public vote started to come in and almost completely replaced the jury. Only the last few years have they used a combination. It's always been political, though the public vote the last couple years seems compromised.
@AndyPan23272529@Dougmcg1 Wow, that is some impressively creative revisionism! Scotland last voted for the Tories in 1955, 70 years ago, and in the time since we've had 45 years of Tory government. Because the English keep voting for them. Not to mention Brexit, overwhelmingly rejected in Scotland.
@jk_rowling Except he didn't say doctors should prescribe puberty blockers because there are good medical reasons, he said they should be ALLOWED to prescribe them if THEY THINK there are good medical reasons. You're the one trying to tell them what they can and can't do Miss Self-aware!
