Minutes after former President Jimmy Carter's death was announced Scott Jennings was on CNN calling him a "terrible president" with a "big ego". He wasn't fired. He never apologized.
After Paul Pelosi was attacked Fox News hosts joked about it on air. They weren't fired. They never apologized.
After Charlie Kirk was killed Matthew Dowd said on MSNBC that he was "divisive" adding, "hateful thoughts lead to hateful words, which then lead to hateful actions." He was fired after apologizing.
Free speech only goes one way.
Nancy Mace's very first words to reporters on Charlie Kirk was "democrats own what happened today"
When @ryanobles followed up about if that means Republicans "own" the shooting of Minnesota lawmakers she says "are you kidding me?"
From moments ago on the House steps
the psychos who celebrated and made jokes about someone jumping off a bridge two months ago are boutta come out to say we should have “tact” and “respect for the dead” just watch
Every time there is a violent (shooting) attack in this country, the unified Dem response is to try to tone down the temperature, while the entire RW immediately uses it as an excuse to dial things up to 11 and fantasize about murdering liberals.
Completely asymmetric.
@jdelta1adams@Helldivers2HQ Look i lts obvious to me too, but a lot of people prob just log on for a few dives after work and i think a system pointing them the right direction wouldn't go unappreciated
@Helldivers2HQ I feel like while it's annoying that many players ignore obvious easy wins and ways to gain or deny ground its also on the game somewhat for barely explaining how some of these mechanics work to the new players too.
@coumi006 You've gotten good at presenting depth in a scene without the sharper lines of your old style. I do still like the sharp lighting of the old style too
The rant may amount to nothing, but I just feel there is no one in Canadian politics or affecting the country at large that actually represents me or will make meaningful change for the better.
It really sucks as someone who is very much progressive since the party that outwardly aligns with my views has also been the one in control, while the country I love has become harder and harder to afford as every system becomes more burdened.
There are never approaches consisting of both practicality and empathy, only extremes. The best example I can think of for this is the topic of immigration, which at the current rate, we unfortunately just don't have the infrastructure to support the citizens we already have.
I love Canada but I do really hate it some times too, we're not in a great spot economically or infrastructure wise and our two realistic options for governance were not great for differing reasons. Its evident in the way we discuss problems facing the country
