@HDA_tweeting I will write to my MP this weekend regarding NICE, it’s something I’ve been pushing for a long time as a paramedic who relies on guidelines to practice effectively. HD is a complex debilitating disease, patients need equality in treatment. @AlexChalkChelt
@AlexChalkChelt I’m going to write for your support for NICE guidelines for Huntingtons. HD patients have such variability in access to services and often end up in crisis point which costs the NHS and social care more to unpick… I’m local and will get in touch!
We're delighted to have the Mindful Of Huntington's campaign featured in todays Independent. Thank you to Daniel for telling his story! You can read more here: https://t.co/VbQRUYkN4c
This week, you asked to hear about how a routine can help people with Huntington's disease?
Firstly, it can help reassure someone who is struggling by providing a framework of predictability. A person may be more comfortable if they know what to expect on a day-to-day basis.
Integrated working is essential to personalised care! It’s important for a person’s care to be coordinated with all the right people contributing to get the best outcome ! Proud to be part of IMPACT multi disciplinary meetings.
Yesterday at work. Scenes I never saw 5 years ago. Now business as usual. The NHS is under huge pressure. Please @SteveBarclay Sort out social care #carersnotcuts, retain staff #FullPayRestoration for all, and focus on Prevention. Patients deserve better.
I love the work @One_Glos is doing for personalised care. If everyone had one of these, they would be seen and treated for who they are not what their illness brings! This would be incredible for the Huntingtons community
Today, with @MNDoddie5 and @MNDScotland, we've launched a petition asking @GOVUK to invest £50 million over 5 years into research for motor neurone disease (#MND).

A key issue around Disability is a lack of cultural historic knowledge. I was born disabled in 1965 & have seen society change, for the better & worse.
The Blue Badge renewal is a perfect example of worse. Too often as provision is expanded, accessing it is made harder.
Do you have a #bluebadge OR care for someone who does FILL OUT THE SURVEY from this link:
