While I don't think the story is the pinnacle of fantasy, I also don't think it absolutely needs fixing. it's fine as a vehicle to the gameplay.

Yeah, that's why we have that convoluted mess with 3 separate timelines, lmao. Nah mate, Zelda lore is a mess. At least TotK didn't give us the prototypical hero story again like 10 Zeldas before that. I love OoT but the story is not the seeling point.
