@NickKrasz_Wx@Slabbaer So I imagine this graphic is not including the 2018 Carr fire tornado in California then?
If I’m not mistaken it was determined to have reached wind speeds of at least 143 mph.
Huh? Are you brain dead?
How does hitting nearly every archetype not discourage you from playing decks not from the last year?
Pointing so much means you basically can’t play any of the old power staples that was the stated vision for the format. You actually lack comprehension.
@MBTYuGiOh It’s all but confirming OCG Konami does not want you to play with older cards at all and gives no fucks.
Not that Genesys was “retro” anyway, but at least if you played an older deck you could play some crazy generic staples.
@mtgbanding If everything is blinged, nothing is blinged.
I totally agree, it’s why I’ve become a draft box Andy for lands.
None of them are special anymore anyway.
@fireshoes@SaffronOlive Good luck convincing Hasbro executives that’s money well spent to invest in the players…
That’s cash that could line their pockets or buy their new bmw! Think of the poor suits!
Genuinely a Butcher of Malakir on a 4 drop creature with some sort of ward or Grave pact on a 3 mana flash enchantment.
Traditional sacrifice strategies are too slow for modern magic, they need to completely lock down other creature decks to function because they have to play so many bad cards.
Sale shouldn’t mean taking advantage of somebody not knowing the value of what they have.
They can check the price and still give you a good deal.
You guys sound like the 25 year olds at card shops who trade shiny commons to naive children for chase cards and say “not my fault they didn’t know”
@capnamericuhhh@BasicallyIDoWrk You absolutely cooked him.
He knows you’re right but his ego is too big to admit it
The whole reason people go to garage sales is to try and take advantage of poor knowledge of values
Look at the biggest sport in the world. Good players only go to better teams.
I’m not scared to say it,
Super teams and dynasties in big markets are GOOD for the NBA’s long term success.
Giving the best talent to bad teams just dilutes the product
@WillErker In fairness to Wizards there were people clamoring for years that llanowar elves would be fine for standard because green sucked.
Turns out green probably should always suck in constructed, because it’s too binary in its viability. It’s either terrible or meta warping.
Relieved for a bust.
But if it doesn’t verify, the use of the PDS looks really silly to the public.
Not saying it wasn’t warranted, it could’ve been a high end tornado event.
But the general public won’t know that.
They’ll start to assume PDS is just fluff.
This card is very underused in edh! If you empty your hand often or use the graveyard a lot this card can save you from a farewell in a way most other cards can't!
@rssespuffs@33elkMTG I fully admit I was wrong. I was pro UB and supported up to the announcement of it being standard legal.
I was fine with it when it wasn’t in standard, but in hindsight it was foolish to think it wouldn’t end up there if it performed well enough.
@KevinR70@MatthewCappucci You wanna go stand in the tornadoes with an anemometer then?
We don’t have a way to accurately measure a tornado’s wind speed. Size isn’t a direct factor into how strong a tornado is so that won’t work either.
The EF scale is the best alternative for now.
@KevinR70@MatthewCappucci You’re not using comprehension here.
We do not rate the tornado, we rate the damage it does.
The scale you’re trying to turn the EF scale into does not exist.
@PuR3CH4OS @oldscarf1stweek Anyone who resorts to language like that in attempt to hurt someone’s feelings has forfeited their right to be taken seriously.
You’re a pathetic, sad person.
