Yazi human behavioural development is a marvel to witness.

My one year old daughter did something naughty, and I reprimanded her by raising my voice at her (something she hasn’t experienced before). She doesn’t understand the words I’m saying, but she can tell I’m not happy with her.

She immediately cries and runs towards me (the very person causing her this distress) with her little arms open, asking for an embrace.

She’s running to one of the few safe spaces she knows: her father’s massive arms and chest.

Magic.❤️

To think there are men who bring these bundles of joy into the world and then run away from them. 💔

This was one of the best moments I’ve seen at the World Cup so far!

In the 75th minute, Brazil were leading Scotland 3–0. The Brazilian fans had almost lost their excitement in the stands. The game felt over — their team was comfortably ahead, already through to the next round, and there seemed to be no drama left. Everyone was just watching the rest of the game quietly.

Then suddenly, they saw Neymar standing on the touchline, ready to come on as a substitute.

Everything changed in less than a second.

The stadium erupted as the fans welcomed their legend and captain. Neymar, who is finally living his dream and playing what is expected to be the last World Cup of his career, received a hero’s reception. With every touch of the ball, the crowd chanted his name:

“Neymar! Neymar! Neymar!”

It’s the first time I’ve seen a player receive this level of appreciation and love from both his teammates and his nation since Messi.
