@FightOnEddie@Genetics56 Big Ten TV deal will be small due to cable cord cutting. USC/ND/FSU/Clemson/MIA and others will bolt to form a new conference. Possibly no revenue sharing. Teams allowed to sign their own individual TV deals with OTA broadcasters ABC/CBS/FOX/NBC.
@wilnerhotline Pooling will never work. But when the Super League forms, its teams will self-impose a luxury tax for funding Olympic sports. That should be enough to keep Congress from butting in.
@DanWetzel 32-44 team Super League will be amazing and successful. It could even surpass the popularity of the NFL. And yes, the fans in the Super League will tolerate losing seasons. Nebraska fans are living proof that fans are loyal.
@wilnerhotline Bevacqua is right to say the Super League maximizes media value. So let’s go there. And let there be a luxury tax for funding Olympic sports for all FBS schools. Congress not needed for solving all the problems.
@Genetics56 Nick Saban is a hypocrite. He wants money caps on labor. But silent on capping the pay of coaches, athletic directors, and school presidents.
@Genetics56 Petitti & Sankey need to tell Cruz to get lost. They never should have gone to Congress begging the government to go after the players’ money. Now that Congress is going after B1G/SEC money, all hell breaks loose.
@TrekDocFan@Genetics56 Why the hell is this Notre Dame AD endorsing this bill? It’s a Communist plot that will require equal revenue sharing for all. It will seriously damage ND sports.
