@nenshi There is a place for both public and private health care delivery services BUT neither the provider and the health care practitioner should play in both areas. AHS is public health, govt funded. Private practices should be personal, health benefits, WCB, or insurance funding.
@nenshi Alberta needs to address health services and hospital care wait times. Backlog and wait times often associated with patient flow processes as much as it is facility capacity, staffing resources and assignment, and budget. Best solution...streamline Alberta Health Services.
@robbfergusson Of course Wab would preach this as Manitoba public health is partially funded through equalization redistribution from have provinces like Alberta.
@robbfergusson No...people are creatures of personal preference, habit, and self-fulfillment. They will buy what they want without others telling them what to do unless they are denied a choice.
@CTVCalgary Awesome. More pipelines west, east, and hopefully south done right (i.e. strong stakeholder and environmental consultation) will be great nation-building initiatives for everyone!
@MikeJamiesonYYC Thanks Cllr Jamieson. I hope all other Council Members are as thoughtful and representative of their constituents voices as you have expressed here. Please leave amendments to a fall debate after public and industry consultation.

@LRTontheGreen@everydaytourist@CHVillage@cityofcalgary @TerryWong4Ward7 met few weeks ago with @chcayyc CA Prez M. Evans and CA Committee Rep H. Palibroda to catch up on issues, aspirations, current and planning initiatives, and next steps. Waiting for The City to provide a more detailed plan/timeline re; Centre Street
Sunday was the 3rd Community Clean-up I participated in this year; 4 hours each unloading cars and greeting constituents. @MountPleasantCA@WestHillhurstCA Crescent Heights Community Association.
@cognitivecurio@CalgaryRecall We deal with all and everything including transit service, potholes, policing, etc. in addition to things some think are less important.
Last night I celebrated the birthday of dozens of Filipino seniors in Calgary as a tragedy unfolded in Vancouver as Filipinos celebrate heritage festival Lupa Lupa. My heart goes to the Filipino community in Vancouver, Calgary and around the world. 9 died, dozens injured.
@CarlaPysh@TraceForGood@Prominent_Bryan Hi Carla...to be clear, I was door knocking for Jeremy Nixon CPC Calgary Confederation nomination signatures as he's a good friend. I followed this by confirming people's support for as a City Councillor in the upcoming municipal election by signing my municipal nomination papers
Glad that the Premier and the Govt of Alberta has reversed their budget decisions to stop funding the Low Income Transit Pass which serves over 100,000 Calgarians challenged with high cost of living and affordability.
Glad to support City Council #yyccc on restoring this funding
BREAKING. EXCLUSIVE. SMITH GOVERNMENT REVERSES COURSE. Will continue to fund low-income transit pass.

@FoodieArt1 @hawkings32005 The land was acquired as part of Green Line LRT alignment under Eau Claire market and area condo buildings in 2023-2024. Decision made to cancel 2nd St tunnel in Sept and consider Provincual elevated LRT proposal in December. Nothing was unlawful.
@uncalgary I've always believed in doing the right things the right way to ensure we deliver value for every tax dollars. What's wrong with that. GL is right. The City, then Province approaches were wrong and I'm skeptical the downtown alignment will be right for all Calgarian tax dollars.
