@DataRepublican@captgouda24 These are the same people who called J6 the greatest threat to democracy since the civil war, yet now when a majority of voters elect a different government and they don't get their way, they call for violence. Their arguments are not based in any logic, just their feelings.
@Yura76426426@DefiantLs Here's the deal. Trump isn't on the ticket. Does he impact the races a bit, yes, but no one is voting for Trump. They are voting for House and Senate.
@MrJamSpark04@magills_ I can tell you it wasn't tranquil. Ford presided over the end of the Vietnam war. There were many years of protests during Reagan. My aunt was one of those protestors who thought he was the devil incarnate. Most generations think earlier gens had it better.
@januszgut@Acyn Sure over the past couple years, and a small amount. What about the massive declines in real wages for Europeans or the large increases in energy costs? Over the past 10 years, US real wages are up over 16%. The millionaire / billionaire thing is grossly exagerrated.
@MrJamSpark04@magills_ Europe in particular has always held their nose when it comes to us. Washington, Jackson, Reagan, Trump, didn't matter. Having a UFC match on the White House lawn is somehow inelegant? Ehh, don't much care what other countries or people think. When you're the big dog, bark.
The second you reach for the words “ban,” “stop,” or “eliminate” as your policy, you're on the wrong side of history.
Shape the technology toward the goal, don't try to outlaw the future.
@MrJamSpark04@magills_ Seriously... Who's "we"? I have no need to "fight" said stereotype. The idea we want our country to be "equals" with everyone else is ludicrous. This is the greatest country on Earth. Why would we ever want to be average. We should always strive to be the best.
