The great Eritrean people can be proud of gaining independence 35 years ago. But shame on the regime which has kept the nation as a prison camp and its citizens without rights. I hope Isaias does open to better US relations; that will speed his downfall.

He is now telling them to stop exaggerating and peddling manufactured glory.
#Eritrean independence won through immense sacrifice & resilience but sadly, the dream of freedom replaced by a fascist style #PFDJ that crushes our people, denies basic right & forces us into fear and exile. #NomorePFDJTerror#BlueRevolution#EBRF@Nebsi2
Four days until May 24. UN and HRW reports on Eritrea’s abuses are clear even as sanctions lift talks happen. The regime’s Red Sea games cannot hide the truth. EBRF stands with justice #EBRF#TransnationalRepression#BlueRevolution @BeyeneGerezgh @CmAfricanUnion
As reports circulate of potential shifts in U.S. policy toward Eritrea including sanctions considerations tied to Red Sea dynamics the #PFDJ regime will present any engagement as validation of its rule. The international community must not confuse tactical interests with endorsement of a system that has denied its people basic rights for decades.
The #Eritrean #BlueRevolution Front offers a clear alternative. We call for principled engagement with Eritrea that prioritizes the aspirations of its citizens supports a peaceful and orderly transition and rejects the normalization of authoritarian capture.
We urge democratic governments diaspora communities and all who value genuine sovereignty to engage the organized voice of the Eritrean people not merely the regime that claims to speak in their name. Real change begins when the world listens to those who have never stopped fighting for it. #Eritrea #EBRF #TrueIndependence @KjetilTronvoll@mrubin1971@_hudsonc@TheEconomist@washingtonpost@pressfreedom@afric_insde@TheAfricaReport
Eritrea's Unhappy Birthday - debunking #PFDJ myth
Today marks the 35th anniversary of Eritrea's independence, and the way it's celebrated by some but only marked by others in Diaspora laid bare the controversy over the three decades abject failure of its Legacy.
We, in #EBRF, recognise and affirm the actions many Eritrean communities are taking to boycott PFDJ; support the people's cause for Freedom and democratizing #Eritrea through #RegimeChangeinEritrea
@_hudsonc, you have a high regard for the Eritrean dictator
The Eritrean dictator cannot maintain a normal diplomatic posture that can lead to cooproation with the USA or the neighbours
The only reason he is so invested in Sudan is, first, to gain a lucrative, second, to gain diplomatic notoriety, third, to encircle Ethiopia
Lower your expectations on Isaias Afwereki most unreliable, unpredictable leader
@realDonaldTrump@POTUS@WhiteHouse@JDVance@StateDept@DeputySecState
In today’s Independence Day speech, Eritrea’s dictator Isaias Afewerki attacked the United States. He claimed America’s debt has risen from 30 trillion to 40 trillion dollars and accused President Trump of making desperate moves to fix it by trying to control rare earth minerals, raising taxes on industries, closing institutions, cutting domestic taxes, invading sovereign states, waging wars, and spreading propaganda.
This comes just weeks after reports of U.S. engagement talks with the Asmara regime facilitated by Egypt last month, along with past congratulatory messages from @SecRubio . As analysts @_hudsonc@mrubin1971 have warned, every U.S. administration that has tried to normalize with or tame Isaias has failed. He remains untrustworthy and has repeatedly backstabbed partners.
After more than three decades of totalitarian rule, economic failure, and repression, the regime in Asmara does not deserve rewards or renewed engagement.
The United States should instead support genuine democratic transition by engaging with organized Eritrean opposition voices, including groups like the #Eritrean #BlueRevolution Front, and work with regional partners committed to real change in the Horn of Africa.

Spot on! Accountability isn't just the first step—it's the only foundation for real change.
Decades of totalitarian rule have broken families, trapped youth, and kept the region in endless chaos. True peace will never exist under tyranny. The people deserve freedom now. #Eritrea" #HumanRightsForAll #BlueRevolution #EBRF #RegimeChangeInEritrea @UN@EUparliament@amnesty@SenTedCruz@StateDept
@BeyeneGerezghe1@DaeronaC Dareona community statement! Ok I have no problem what you want or plan to do, but who exactly is authoring this statement? “The Leadership and Management “? You say a lot about “transparency “. This is hardly transparency. Come clean say who you are, who are leaders/management
Eritrea
You were brutally murdered because You refused to accept that the Eritrean people were being humiliated and destroyed. But what a price you had to pay. My heroes, my Eritrea. I think of you with love and deep gratitude.
@TiborPNagyJr Eritrean Regime lives in a rigid box; if they attempt any meaningful engagement and reform, it will lead to a collapse similar to what happened in the soviet union
Regardless, change will come; #EBRF effort making the bed bug come out of hiding
Eritrea continues to suffer under one of the world’s most brutal and oppressive regimes. For decades, the Eritrean people have been denied freedom, democracy, justice, and basic human rights. No free elections. No free press. No freedom of speech. Only fear, oppression, arbitrary arrests, torture, and a system that destroys lives and futures every single day.
Thousands of innocent people have disappeared into secret prisons without trial. Families live in pain without knowing where their loved ones are. Young people are forced into endless military conscription, robbed of their dreams and their right to live a normal life. Many risk death across deserts and seas because they feel that escape is the only way out of a life built on fear and dictatorship.
The Eritrean people deserve better. They deserve freedom. They deserve democracy. They deserve a country where people can speak without fear, live without oppression, and build a future with dignity and hope.
A regime that rules through fear can never last forever. Truth will always survive oppression, and the voice of the people will never be completely silenced. The struggle for justice, freedom, and democracy in Eritrea continues, and the world must stop remaining silent while an entire people suffers.
Regime change in Eritrea is not just necessary — it is a human rights struggle.
We will continue to raise our voices. We will continue to stand against dictatorship. We will continue the struggle until Eritrea is finally free.

Eritrea remains under the long-standing rule of Isaias Afwerki, marked by repression, regional tensions, and lack of democratic institutions. Supporting such a regime risks undermining stability and credibility—real progress in the Horn of Africa depends on accountability and empowering its people, not sustaining authoritarian rule.
