@TheStalwart Lamu has a history of this they shut down a proposed coal power plant a few years ago. It's a very important part if the history of the region.
@LJKawa@MikeFellman@TheStalwart Long rates are just a combination of spot short rates and forward short rates. So in some ways its still kinda true for the long run
@TyroneRone1 @TheStalwart The african solution that keeps kenya energy self sufficient not dependent on foreign countries also happens to be green energy. Progress on that not 20th century technology is the only way
@OngoroOdiembo@TheStalwart Guaranteeing a monopoly to a foreign capitalist doesn't make the country self sufficient either. Kenya will never be self sufficient of fuel because kenya doesn't produce much oil. It's a myth and this "pan african" bs is a ruse to take advantage of Kenya
@Nanjala1 Those other protests you mentioned didn't spread across borders the same way this round of protests did. Kenya inspired Uganda and Nigeria to start their protests on similar grounds of anti corruption. This spillover effect is what drives people to compare it to the Arab spring
@EnzoSD85@JJ_McCullough Yeah I remember when she judged the landmark divorce of Shrek v Fiona....really broke new grounds there on division of marital assets
