For all of those who criticize FSD, get in my shoes for 1 minute. I bought FSD back in March 2019, got it transferred on my new Model 3 in October 2025 and still have never been able to use it 😭

The reason? I live in France 🇫🇷 where the minister of transportation @PhilippeTabarot is waiting and waiting and waiting before approving it 😤

[TeslaStars✨ @TeslaStars]

@teslectrics Exactly. And the Tesla fleet in Europe is several orders of magnitude more than XPeng

[TeslaStars✨ @TeslaStars]

@McJohnnymac @ChrisDungeon @bobbydownes @killtonyfan I personally can’t do that. And still it comes with issues @ChrisDungeon talks about 😌

[Christopher Dungeon @ChrisDungeon]

Fair point.

Taxed vs non-taxed changes the math a lot. In a 401k you can hop into and out of $TSLA / $SPCX without the capital gains hit. That friction’s real for taxable accounts and almost zero for tax-advantaged ones.

Just want to lightly point out that this still doesn’t erase the other two costs.

You already paid today’s market price. If a real ratio clears near 50/50 then you already gave up the gap premium (~30% at that ask) and you gave up the TSLA vote that actually matters on the deal.

So yeah, disclose the account type. It does matter. Just don’t confuse “I can trade free” with “I kept the premium and the vote.”

[AukeHoekstra @AukeHoekstra]

I believe that this is complex for some people, but Hitlers "National Socialism" is a subcategory of (right wing) fascism.

Also, what Amercans call socialism is more properly labeled (historically speaking) "social democracy". Scandinavia, Germany and my country are examples.

[TeslaStars✨ @TeslaStars]

@skjoldp The riots aren’t about FSD and nothing good is coming out of them. It’s just chaos 😤

[TeslaStars✨ @TeslaStars]

@teslectrics Yes. Needs polishing and for that billions of km of data is what it takes 😌

[TeslaStars✨ @TeslaStars]

@benoit_pierret Ça a déjà été fait, FSD marche extrêmement bien dans le chaos parisien. XPeng y arrivera mais ça prendra des milliards de kilomètres de data. En attendant Tesla a une avance insurmontable ☺️

Tesla FSD Supervised first ride along in Paris (Montmartre area), France 🇫🇷
- Full drive (30min+). Recommend watching @ 2x speed.
- Model 3 running FSD v14.1.7
- Audio removed
- Very grateful to @teslaeurope for the opportunity!

Re-upload with raw comments properly in video subtitles this time!

Let me know below if any questions!

Here with timestamps if you want to jump:
00:00 Start of recording from Tesla Center in Saint-Ouen
00:35 Disengaged to exit parking - I think FSD could have done it if not for us impatient humans ^^
00:44 FSD re-engaged
01:30 Letting a pedestrian cross, being super cautious (more than 99% of Parisian drivers)
04:00 Observation that the software here is the supervised version, but the “Full-Self Driving capability” outright purchase will cover the Unsupervised version once it’s available (technically and from regulation standpoint)
05:00 Observation that this FSD EU version has both Driving Profiles (from Sloth to Mad Max) and Max Speed offset (%)
06:00 Pedestrian thankful + very smooth re-acceleration before they even exit the crosswalk, like a human would drive. Already here we could feel it’s not rules-based and has an understanding of the world and good compromises between safety and comfort.
07:10 Good handling of speed bumps
08:00 Prioritized safety: yield despite having the right of way
09:15 Speed bumps, very comfortable
09:30 No stress handling of tight street
10:10 Switch to Mad Max, handling of speed bumps remains similar, and very cautious with cars parked on side
10:40 Unprotected left with limited visibility, Mad Max very cautious
11:10 Yielding as it should
11:15 Cautiously stays slow with pedestrian where it was unclear
11:35 Overtaking bike
11:50 Observation that Mad Max on city streets is indistinguishable from Standard
12:35 Going around left-turning truck
12:45 Highlight #1 : Threading the needle in very tight space around work truck with pedestrian on street
13:00 Observation that system feels as confident as it feels cautious
14:10 Overtaking stopped vehicle, very safe, proper use of blinker
14:30 Observation that no one is noticing that the car is driving itself
14:43 Vehicle that had right of way but was behind a parked van yielded to us, FSD very cautious but confident, didn’t overreact/didn’t stop as the other vehicle wasn’t moving
15:30 Nitpick #1 : positioned on crosswalk with rear of the car behind red light, once the bus restarted, car decided to follow but light was about to turn red. Tesla driver said it was probably to clear the crosswalk. Very human and totally safe but I would either have stopped cleanly before the light or much closer to the bus to avoid being in the middle of the light/crosswalk at any point.
17:00 Nitpick #2 : slight overcautiousness as pedestrians were approaching the crosswalk but they had a red, car stopped cautiously in intersection when it was not needed and could have gone forward without bothering pedestrians. I would have cleared the intersection in this case.
18:05 Leaves room for car
18:25 Observation that ride is very comfortable on Parisian stone roads (but sorry for the shakiness! mounts weren't permitted)
19:30 Self parks at destination reached. Not perfect parking but good enough. Back to Standard mode.
19:50 Attempt to go through highly touristy area full of pedestrians
20:15 Observation that human driver reversing into pedestrians is much more aggressive
20:40 Nitpick #3 : Had to disengage to go through tourists, car wasn’t being assertive enough to ever get through. This was totally because we were impatient/not willing to give the car more time, my guess is the Tesla driver knew we would never have made it through such a dense crowd.
21:00 Re-engage when out of crowded part
21:18 Extra cautious given pedestrians. Finally some people getting suspicious that the car is driving itself, maybe because we were super slow compared to Parisians
21:40 Being extra safe with pedestrian on narrow crosswalk
21:55 Questionable situation : there was a car coming from the right, could have been considered to have right of way strictly speaking, but car turned as a human would have
23:00 Superb pedestrian handling / reaction time, being extra polite
23:40 Observation that FSD Supervised is still designed for human to take over for higher risk situations
24:00 Navigating Montmartre
24:55 Highlight #2 : stopped to let motorcycle overtake us (!) - this is the time when the car felt absolutely sentient and not robotic
25:10 Yielded for pedestrians but they stopped, supervisor intervened to push it forward and avoid confusing them
25:40 Yielded for pedestrian in blind angle / behind plants while turning, definitely safer than human
26:00 Observation that FSD drives more cautiously and safely than most Uber drivers in Paris
26:08 Slowing down for scooter coming down the street in opposite direction, very safe and cautious
26:18 Observation that it’s awesome that Tesla is letting us choose any area for the ride along
26:24 Highlight #3 : Slowing down for pedestrian entering street without looking, then immediately back to normal once they are back on sidewalk, very safe again
26:50 Observation that it’s a huge sign of confidence that Tesla is allowing people to experience FSD in completely uncontrolled environments, on European streets
27:30 Tesla team member expressing gratitude that we as customers are willing to trust a new software, and that by riding along we are helping the team to find edge cases to continue improving
27:43 Highlight #4 : superhuman reaction to pedestrian deciding to cross, car anticipated her move - another example that felt sentient
28:10 No overreaction to undecided pedestrians
29:10 Tesla team member reminding that FSD is trained on >100 years of driving data, collected by both internal fleet and customer fleet. My take: that’s more experience than any human ever could gain over a lifetime
29:30 Observation that this system is clearly safer than human
29:45 Highlight #5 : Being very polite to pedestrian while motorbike wasn’t
30:20 Observation that Tesla wave is less frequent than in early years, but that the Tesla owners community is awesome, and OGs should keep doing it to perpetuate the tradition with new owners
30:55 Smoothly giving space to go around pedestrian walking on the road
31:05 Observation that so far there were zero interventions since reactivation after the tourist crowd (~10 min)
31:50 Going around stopped car while respecting bikes coming from opposite direction, including valid use of blinker
32:18 Accelerations and decelerations are very smooth / comfortable
32:40 Observation that FSD is more chill than human drivers - doesn’t honk
32:55 Highlight #6 : slows down for pedestrian entering street abruptly from behind a commercial van. This triggered a collision warning sound and red highlight on the driving visualization, but FSD was already handling it on its own
33:15 Very safe with pedestrian on their phone starting to cross the street while we had a green light, then stopping perfectly for orange light
33:50 Observation that FSD is very safe and very good at accounting for other people
34:00 Tesla driver intervened (Accelerator press) to get it past that green light. Possible that FSD was waiting for bike
34:20 End of recorded portion. Car drove back to Tesla without intervention/disengagement except parking.

@davelee The obvious play then is scaling @robotaxi as fast as possible instead of selling cars to customers. A shared @robotaxi replaces 5 to 10 private cars 😌
