Inconceivable horror descends from space and, through a series of terrifying manipulations of your own tiny world, manages to communicate that it thinks your hat’s shit
The UK’s Illegal Migration Bill has passed - a dark turn for human rights in this country, and for Britain’s role in the world.
This attempt to deny the inalienable rights of refugees contravenes international law and threatens global systems of protection.
No human is illegal.
Utterly bizarre that politicians who have their meals subsidised by the taxpayer say there is no money to feed hungry kids in schools. Over just 3 years, the public have forked out over £17m to subsidise MPs' meals. There's plenty of money; it's just going to the wrong places.
@LinkedInHelp I sent a DM on 3rd July but my issue is still not resolved. My account was hacked and my email was removed as the primary contact. Now my support case can't be updated because I can't confirm my ID via that email. can you help please?
Too “welcoming” to children seeking asylum.
So action had to be taken to made the place colder, less human, more depressing - so that *children* felt less welcome and less loved.
This is a profoundly low point in our nation’s politics and culture. It’s sick.
'Every young person should know what consent looks and feels like' & who better to ensure this is reflected in the sex education curriculum than young people themselves #BoldGirlsKen 👏
Brilliant youth-led initiative by @youngwomenscot & @NSPCC_Scotland

My biggest takeaway from the Titan story is that we absolutely could have coordinated, multinational efforts to ensure no migrant dies crossing the sea and we choose not to.
In one of the most notable moments in sports history, Kenyan runner Abel Mutai was just a few feet from the finish line, but became confused with the signage and stopped thinking he had completed the race.
A Spanish athlete, Ivan Fernandez, was right behind him, and after realizing what was happening, he started shouting at the Kenyan for him to continue running; but Mutai didn't understand his Spanish.
Fernandez eventually caught up to him and instead of passing him, he pushed him to victory.
A journalist asked Ivan, "Why did you do that?"
Ivan replied, “My dream is that someday we can have a kind of community life where we push and help each other to win.” The journalist insisted “But why did you let the Kenyan win?" Ivan replied, "I didn't let him win, he was going to win.” The journalist insisted again, “But you could have won!”Ivan looked at him & replied, “But what would be the merit of my victory? What would be the honor of that medal?
What would my Mom think of that?”
Values are transmitted from generation to generation.
What values are we teaching our children?
Let us not teach our kids the wrong ways to WIN.
