@andrewdobrow The best products often are created from the needs of one for the needs of many. Makes for a much speedier 0 to 1 when it's a pain point felt by the masses! ๐ค
We built this demo in collaboration with a clinical pathology lab. It shows a single system doing real lab tasks: tool use, precision manipulation, and high level planning.
This was done in one take with no teleop and uses our skills based AI to enable generality while staying deterministic and reliable for real world workflows.

I thought founder-led comms was important 20 years ago, but it's become even MORE important now in the age of AI and infinite distraction. I used to get flak from my boards about how public I wasโnow it's tablestakes. Hard to imagine it becoming less important in the next 10yrs.
Right now people are spending an average of 109 minutes/day on TikTok. Facebook is responsible for 69 minutes/day. Then consider most social media users are using more than one app each day.
With the exception of Facebook, these numbers are even higher for people aged 17-25 (the youngest cohort we observe).

Marc Andreessen on how to get people to join your 3-person startup
Marc says founders have two tools at their disposal to win new hires: 1) Stock options, and 2) vision. He explains:
โThe best entrepreneurs are really good at selling people on their company precisely because they can explain how the world is going to look in a way that is so compelling.โ
Marc points to Steve Jobsโs โreality distortion fieldโ as the epitome of this:
โIf you get within 10 feet of Steve Jobs, whatever he says in the next 20 minutes, youโre going to walk out of there believing. He can say that the sky is purple, and youโre like yep that makes total sense . . . The best entrepreneurs all tend to have that in common and tend to be really good at that. Itโs essentially sales โ selling to employees. Itโs an incredibly valuable skill to be able to do that. That plus stock options.โ
The other thing Marc has observed about hiring over the years is that right employees have to self-select into your company, even though that can be incredibly frustrating at times:
โIf you hired all the people you interviewed, it would turn out that 2/3rds or 3/4ths of them you probably shouldnโt have hired anyway. So what the best companies do is they provide a very stark idea of what the company is and what is it isnโt: โWe are a company where people are expected to work 18 hour days and if you donโt like that, donโt come hereโ or โWe are a company where people expect to go home at 5pm every day and if you think thatโll be frustratingโ โ whatever it is.โ
Marc gives the humorous example of Asana where it was a requirement that the whole company did yoga together:
โIf you like yoga, this is the company for you. If you donโt like yoga, donโt go there. Youโre going to be asked to put your feet in positions that youโre completely uncomfortable with.โ
He continues:
โI think the very best companies tend to be polarizing. So if in your hiring process, youโre turning people off as much as youโre turning them on because theyโre deciding โthis is clearly not the right fit for me,โ I think thatโs a good thing.โ
Earlier today (Sunday), a large barrage of anti-tank missiles was fired toward IDF troops in southern Lebanon.
During the attack, two IDF soldiers were severely injured and multiple other soldiers were lightly and moderately injured. Their families have been notified.
An initial review showed that an IDF tank that was trying to evacuate injured soldiers while still under fire backed several meters into a UNIFIL post.
Once the enemy fire stopped, and following the evacuation of the injured soldiers, the tank left the post.
During the incident, a smoke screen was used to provide cover for the evacuation of the injured soldiers. IDF soldiers maintained coordination with UNIFIL.
Throughout the entirety of the incident, no danger was posed to UNIFIL forces by the IDF activity.
This is October 7. And you must bear witness.
The KiIIing Roads is a raw documentary of that Black Saturday โ with about 50% of never-before-seen-footage.
Yes. This will punch you in your heart โ over and over.

In an operation coordinated by the IDF and led by @cogatonline@USEmbassyJLM and other international actors, Fawzia Amin Sido was freed from captivity and returned home to Iraq.
At 11-years-old, Fawzia was trafficked by ISIS to a Hamas terrorist in Gaza, who was presumably killed during IDF strikes. She fled to a hideout in which she was rescued in a secret mission through the Kerem Shalom Crossing.
This is further proof of the connection between Hamas and ISIS, as well as the crimes against humanity committed by the terrorist organization in Gaza.
We will continue to act to dismantle the Hamas-ISIS terrorist organization and free all hostages in Hamas captivity.
