I’ve found a genre of animal that I really enjoy, I’m calling it “big scary animal and close relative that’s literally just big scary animal but much smaller”. What do you guys think? Do you have any more examples?

Hell, iirc there already some very, very early ideas for chemical-powered rocketry as a means for moon expeditions by the time Marx died.

Scientists had already deducted the moon’s lack of atmosphere through observing the lack of light refraction of stars as they passed behind the moon in the 1700s. By the 1800s, Marx’s time, we had fully mapped and named the Earth-facing side.

@TalesofKaimere @JurassicLion We do have evidence of material from Earth hitting the moon during the impact, glass from roughly 66 million years ago found in Lunar samples, but I’d imagine anything biotic would vaporize upon impacting the Lunar surface, purely from how fast it’d have to be going to get there.

You functionally don’t have infinite energy because you can’t use it, even if you do on paper. I suppose that would explain why he’s “weak” comparatively.

CE blasts, even crude technique replications, anything. The only reason I can think of as to why not is just because Hakari is canonically an idiot lol

He’s very outwardly misogynistic, and yet he has ear piercings, wears eyeliner, his domain is shaped like a uterus, and, well, people have already mentioned his… unique… shape as a curse.

Iirc that’s how they stop curses from being born, by changing human CE so souls can’t inhabit it when built up. This is explained in Modulo.

Curses are created when cursed energy collects like sediment, and that sediment builds up enough to become a suitable vessel for a soul. Nothing saying those souls can’t reincarnate into human or even animal vessels too, afaik.

Haikouichthys is actually really cool, I used to say I thought the parietal eye making chordates an ancestrally 3-eyed group was cool, and once I drew a theoretical incredibly basal 4-eyed chordate ancestor. Cool to know that’s real now!

@Potatoe_salaad @Kbronproyectado There are plenty of animals we’ve bred or used to go out and find/retrieve stuff for us, that doesn’t mean they’re sophont. He could’ve just gave them the command to find a box and return to him when they found it and lead him to it, all possible without the fish being sophont.
