Most genuinely talented people i have ever known share the same pathetic affliction, this whingeing reluctance to use what they have dressed up as decency. they tuck their abilities away in some grubby mental corner and convince themselves this is some kind of noble self restraint, when in reality it is plain gutless flinching. ive watched brilliant people rot for years because they were too cowardly to admit they were brilliant, and too comfortable in some small, squalid version of themselves they assembled out of other peoples opinions. your talent is not yours to bury. you didn't earn it and you don't get to decide it should be still. either it gets used or it eats you from the inside. there is no happy middle ground where a talented person sits on what they have and lives to any fucking satisfaction, ive never met one who pulled it off
What i think most don't realize is everything has a REASON. Not in the "it happens for a reason" sense, but in the "if you're not getting yourself to do something, you're not lazy, there is just a force going against you (that you're probably generating yoursefl) that you aren't aware of".
Want to avoid 'pain-based internalized helplessness' as best as you can (catch it when you find it) & switch to a problem-solving mindset. "WHY am I MISSING?". or "WHY IS x NOT HAPPENING?" Get curious as fuck. Solve it as best you can. Run the scientific method like a savage. See the invisible. Bring it into your utility belt.
If you genuinely felt like you could succeed in anything you do with enough effort, you'd work 10X harder.
Unironically, if you worked 10X harder, you most likely would succeed.
And that's what ppl call the law of manifestation/attraction or whatever.
will keep saying this over and over and over
There are 4 outcomes
Big win
Small Win
Small Loss
Big Loss
Your job is just to eliminate #4. You will have good trades, and bad trades. but as long as you eliminate the big losses, the other 3 outcomes will lead to consistent growth over time. Our decisions compound with time.
We will have both ups and downs. That's unavoidable bc we all make mistakes. But the goal is just to have higher lows and higher highs consistently. You might have a 20% win here, and a 5% loss there. Then you move onto the next one. It always comes down to probabilities and just putting ourselves in a position to win.
Many people are best enjoyed in doses, not long-term commitments
They are great dose people, but u wouldn't want to be strapped to that
Other people u naturally wouldn't mind riding for a long time with
Why?
The former is not 'self-contained' emotionally. They need to 'feed off' of other. Energy drain.
Other person IS self-contained. They feed off of themselves, and can PROVIDE to other.
Rare that 2 self-contained people come together, in any relationship context (biz, friend, romantic etc)
99.99% are not self contained
