I think I’m gonna do another one of those media threads like I did last year. I’m gonna try and keep it to things I haven’t watched or played before because if not the first 7 tweets would be all Zelda games. Lol
LET’S DO IT!!
The first play-through of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is magical and on Switch 2 I want more people to experience it so I'm giving away a code!

Regarding the Expedition 33 Ai controversy, there is a lot of nuances being left out and people are entitled to feel the way they wish to about gen ai, however just been doing some background research and waiting for context and I think I'm inclined to believe Sandfall's recent statement.
Just some digging based on my experience developing games and pushing them to steam. Exactly what they said seems to track the patching date stamp on steam for 33. I don't think they could go back and retroactively lie about this. If they did the updated test of the patch would have been updated recently but as you can see, it has been untouched 8 months ago.
I believe that a couple of their team experimented with some engine-based UE5 tools to test out their usage in their workflow during prototyping/preproduction, probably spent a month or less and moved on from it and just forgot about it. You can see here on April 29th there was a patch with noted bug fix:
"Replaced a placeholder texture with the correct visual asset"
I believe this was when the change was made. 5 days after launch before anyone even knew anything.
I know this post may end up upon deft ears for those who have drawn their line in the sand, but with this huge ai push and resulting witch-hunting, I really hope more of us especially in media and influencers take a moment to just wait for more information and detailed reponses to specific allegations, before we post thing half cooked.
I am considering compiling this and more information I have found today and yesterday into some video for future reference.
Since Metroid is relevant right now gonna shameless plug my video on the series from earlier this year
This is still probably my proudest work on YouTube so far

@TheNCSmaster I hate that GameStop is the only reliable place around me to get new games, cause the one guy that works at mine ALWAYS tries to sell me 50 million other things that I didn’t come to get
Bro put the fries in the bag I want my Metroid
I love Cloud and Aerith’s relationship as a friendship more. They have the bigger sister little brother type of friendship, and I think that makes the loss of Aerith hurt even more.
SHOWTIME. 2006 was Castlevania's 20th anniversary, so to celebrate, they reused a bunch of shi--created one of my favorite games in the series. Let's look back on Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin!
