@ry_anderson4@_ToddBeane The motivation to improve really has to be internal for the player. A personal love and passion for the ball and the game. We're just guides in their journey for however long we have them. I can't be the motivation, because I won't be with them forever.
@ry_anderson4@_ToddBeane There definitely is, but it's nit with team training. The players should work on those skills on their own time. As a team coach, our job is to add context to the skills they train on individually

This is going to go down as one of my favorite moments in my coaching career. 20 months after meeting these young players they've really developed into one of the most creative and dynamic groups I've ever had.
Here's the thing, it was always in them. They just needed the right guidance, support, and for someone to care enough about the job.
I'm going to miss them after this season as they move on from me, but I know they'll give the next coach the same respect and pride they've given me. @ahfcsoccer
The leap over the last 20 months was pretty remarkable. They had a rather unsteady coaching situation at the time.
For the first 14 months or so I ran 2 practices a week for 10 months a year. During the Summer it cut to 1 day a week. Since the Fall, they've been at 3 practices a week.
All of them train outside the club, or play Futsal, or both.
