114 days ago terrorists ransacked the US Capitol and *hours later* 138-of-202 (68%) House republicans voted to make trump a dictator. They tried to finish the rioters’ job and end democracy. Never forget it.
.@NikkiHaley in February: “We shouldn’t have followed [Trump], and we shouldn’t have listened to him. And we can’t let that ever happen again.”
@NikkiHaley today: "I would never do anything to go against him... I would never consider running against him."
Staffers at One America News said they felt responsible for spreading misinformation that led to the Capitol riot. But they had bills to pay, they said, and no other job options. "We're not Nazis," one producer told me. "Just, like, everyday people." https://t.co/nSXdQKBcPj
To Sean Hannity, the victim was a “13-year old man.”
To Matt Gaetz, the victim was a “17-year old woman.”
Pay attention to how they are framing things. It is an evil and dangerous message.
Another child killed by police.
Another community mourning victims of a mass shooting.
Going to work, walking in the street, or being Black, Latino, or Asian American should not be a death sentence.
After sixteen people were killed in a hot air balloon in Lockhart, Texas, Ted Cruz authored and passed federal legislation improving safety rules.
I guess that's not because laws don't work, but because there's no hot air balloon lobby funding his Senate seat. #txlege
To the people of Boulder, we are with you.
We are sending you all the strength and love in the world.
To the people of America, we don’t have to live like this. We don’t have to die like this.
It’s our choice.
Today it's a tragedy in Boulder, Colorado. This past weekend it was a house party in Philadelphia. And last week it was an armed attack on Asian American women in the Atlanta area. It doesn't have to be this way. It’s beyond time for our leaders to take action.
As horrifying reports continue to emerge from Colorado, my heart is with the victims, their families, and the Boulder community.
Once again, a gunman has turned a public space into a site of tragedy.
We don’t have to live in fear like this. We must pass commonsense gun reforms.
