@RDKLInc I dunno, my Aquarius gets a decent amount of play at Houston Arcade Expo and such. If you want to talk about obnoxious BASIC, look no further than the Bally Astrocade - imagine programming with an old Nokia brick phone π
Instead of adding Wi-Fi to my Amiga 1200 at yesterday's DFW Amiga meetup, the hard drive tanked. I smelled burning from around the Lisa area. The hard drive mounts to a bracket on top but with the flicker fixer there, it's too fat to fully close. Time to replace with a CF or SD.
One more Apple ][+ is back to life πππ I recapped the PSU with a Console5 kit. The LCR meter showed all of the old ones were in spec (especially the 220uF 10V ones, with higher uF and lower ESR than the replacements π) ... except for this one where I could spin the body π
@tommithetechie I'm in the midst of stockpiling and repairing nine C's and GS's for the portable version of my Tic Tac Dough exhibit for VCFMW this year. The 70s/80s TV game show used regular II's, but C's are way more compact π
@antongale Yeah, pretty sure the rotation feature won't work without the original Pivot cards. I have yet to come across a stash of cards but hopefully!
I figured that news of a #PC version of #FujiNet for vintage PCs would have generated some buzz.
Nope. It's #@($%@_ impossible to get the word out.
#retrocomputing.
@RDKLInc Same! Mine has been especially great for powering old PC speakers requiring weird voltages. I've even used it on my iMac G3 Clam until getting a dedicated 24V PSU for it. But as you can see, mine's been vandalized π
@sdf_pubnix That's pretty cool. Someday I'd like to show off my TeleType 56D terminal with my 3B2-300 and MX. I need to go through all the power & caps & such before I dare turn them on!
@sdf_pubnix I wonder if this is where my extra 4000-60 went π Had two very clean, let go of one a few months back. Still having a hard time getting my main one talking to my real VT420, but it does terminal emulators fine.
@MrGoodBits Congratulations π Mine is still stuck showing 0x00 on the diagnostics port. I'm suspecting it's a bad 8253 driving RST7.5 crazy. What ROM set do you have, 1980 or 1982?
