That's the number that got people talking, and it's why a bunch of you sent me this clip about the LDS Church and asked what I thought. I'm Jason, I run https://t.co/K9A3PMAwf6 out of Spirit Lake, North Idaho, and stuff like this always catches my attention.

Here's what actually matters once you look past the headlines. The church moved 250 truckloads this year, but that's a normal year for a welfare system that's been running since the 1930s. In 2025 alone they sent out around 37 million pounds of food, backed by close to 1.7 million acres of farmland built up over generations and leased back to working farmers.

That's a massive operation, and it's built on the same thing I believe in: doing the work year after year instead of waiting for a crisis to scramble. I raise beef, pork, lamb, and chicken here with no hormones, no antibiotics, no vaccines, and sell it direct to families who want to know where their food comes from.
