Very excited to be a part of ANC 3A’s work on this. We were deeply honored to have Superintendent Ellard at tonight’s meeting. A special thanks to Commissioner Hans Miller for everything he did to make this happen.
@mindingmybiz_1@DCPoliceDept MPD has advised that this was not a random crime and that they have IDed a person of interest. While I am horrified that this occurred, I'm glad to hear that the victim did not sustain life-threatening injuries.I have asked for any updates that can be shared and will relay them.
@mindingmybiz_1 By "leaving" it, do you mean they are not picking it up and throwing it away? If that's the case, I'll urge City Ridge’s property manager to send out a notice to residents reminding them that failing to dispose of pet waste is illegal.
@mindingmybiz_1 DDOT has told me there isn't a definitive timeline but that it's expected to be done by the end of the month. DDOT advised I follow up if the work isn't done by the holiday. I will do so if necessary.
@mindingmybiz_1 DDOT has acknowledged that its contractor did not install one of the yield signs and needs to adjust another which is facing south instead of northeast as was designed. It is supposed to get fixed quickly. I’ve just followed up to ask for an exact ETA.
@mindingmybiz_1 They do have a sign facing the approach from Porter (see photo) but I do not see signs facing the approaches from 38th or Wisconsin. I am reaching out to DDOT about this.
@mindingmybiz_1 Some of the lawns next to the sidewalks are public space. The distance differs from location to location. Here’s a map showing the property lines on 39th St north of Rodman St.
DC Water issues a boil water advisory for some customers in NW. We advise customers to not drink or cook with their water without first boiling it for one minute. The earliest the advisory will be lifted is Friday May 10. Visit https://t.co/YXoBbxlPLl for info & map of impact.
My team and I are taking the office to #Ward3 this week! I hope to see you Thursday morning at Tatte, 13 Ridge Square NW, at City Ridge, where I'll be joined by @DDOTDC and @DCPoliceDept.
This was a very informative experience. I strongly recommend participating in the @DCPoliceDept Community Engagement Academy. Congress needs to pass the Supporting Accurate Views of Emergency Services (SAVES) Act so that @OUC_DC call takers are classified appropriately.
Last night, Director McGaffin welcomed the most recent cohort of the @dcpolicedept's Community Engagement Academy to OUC. Members of the cohort spoke with the Director about new and emerging technologies in the 911 industry and had the opportunity to tour the operations floor.

Thank you to all of the #Ward3 neighbors who came out to my #CommunityOfficeHours today! It was wonderful to speak with each of you.
My next community office hours will be held on October 25 in #Ward6 at the Southwest Neighborhood Library from 2-5pm.
@TriciaForWard3 If the implication is that they're classifying staff as tipped employees, wouldn't that be criminal unless the tips collected at sale are going exclusively to the person "serving" you?
@ANCCostello Thanks, that makes sense. OCTO did a pretty bad job with this one. The first time I saw it, I thought one of my fellow Commissioners got hacked. They really should reserve using auto-generated footers for the most vital messages.
ANC friends, have you noticed emails from Commissioner addresses having an ad for 202Creates at the bottom? It just started appearing for a few of us in 3A. Nothing is showing up in our signature blocks and yet we still see a blurb after sending an email. Here’s a screenshot.
I hope this is a mistake and not a conscious decision by the Mayor's Office to have @OCTODC utilize ANC emails to advertise @202Creates without permission and no clear way to opt out.
