DRC ANAPI (@investindrc ) participated in a Tel Aviv investor roundtable organized with the Israel Export Institute. Congolese opportunities were presented in water technology, smart agriculture, agro-industry, clean energy, waste management and environmentally responsible mining.

These sectors address practical Congolese needs and could attract technology, capital and technical partnerships. The meeting also moved the bilateral visit from diplomatic discussion toward business engagement.

New Contract Targets 180,000 Tonnes of Congolese Chilli for China Every Year.

The Foreign Trade Ministry announced a contract between China’s Hunan Pengfei International Trade and the Congolese International Chamber of Commerce of Christian Communities for 180,000 tonnes of dried chilli annually.

China is also seeking an estimated 50,000 tonnes of Congolese cocoa, with the combined potential market valued by officials at more than $500 million annually.

DRC and Israel Sign Two Cooperation MoUs as Three Tonnes of Ebola Aid Are Delivered

Foreign ministers Thérèse Kayikwamba Wagner and Gideon Sa’ar signed memoranda covering regular political consultations and cooperation between their diplomatic academies. Israel’s foreign minister also announced that three tonnes of medical assistance had been delivered for the DRC’s Ebola response.

Il fallait être là pour comprendre ce que cela signifiait réellement. Comprendre à quel point il était plus simple de composer avec ceux qui agressaient le Congo, de préserver les équilibres, de jouir d’un règne paisible et de protéger ses propres intérêts.

Mais, tel le Sphinx, il fit un autre choix. Celui de la voie la plus rude, la plus solitaire, la plus éprouvante. Le choix de dire non. Non à la résignation. Non à la compromission. Non à la facilité.

Il choisit de résister là où d’autres auraient négocié leur tranquillité durant 18 ans. Il choisit de combattre là où tant auraient préféré préserver leurs privilèges. Il choisit de tout risquer pour une cause plus grande que lui-même : le Congo.

On ne mesure jamais, au présent, le poids véritable de certains sacrifices. Il faudra du temps pour raconter cette histoire avec toute la profondeur qu’elle mérite. Un jour, elle sera écrite. Elle sera racontée. Peut-être même chantée et enseignée. Parce que certaines décisions ne changent pas seulement le destin d’un homme : elles marquent celui d’une nation.

DRC Foreign Minister Thérèse Kayikwamba Wagner met Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar in Jerusalem, where both countries signed two cooperation agreements covering diplomatic consultations and collaboration between their diplomatic academies.

The ministers also discussed security in eastern DRC and the Middle East, with the DRC reaffirming its call for peace while defending its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Les Forces armées de la RDC (FARDC) ont reçu de nouveaux équipements anti-drone destinés à renforcer la protection de l'espace aérien dans l'est du pays.

Selon les informations disponibles, ce renforcement devrait améliorer les capacités de détection et de neutralisation des drones, offrant ainsi un meilleur appui aux opérations militaires. En revanche, les effets précis de ces équipements sur les opérations en cours ne peuvent pas être confirmés de manière indépendante.

🇨🇩🇮🇱 DRC Foreign Minister Pays Tribute at Yad Vashem

During her visit to Jerusalem on Monday, July 27, 2026, DRC Foreign Minister Thérèse Kayikwamba Wagner visited the Yad Vashem memorial and paid tribute to the six million Jews murdered during the Holocaust, as well as all victims of hatred, antisemitism and intolerance.

Her visit carried a message of remembrance, peace and shared responsibility.

Preserving the memory of past atrocities is a collective duty and a reminder of the need to defend human dignity, encourage dialogue between peoples and promote mutual respect.

The visit also reflected the DRC’s commitment to peace, tolerance and stronger international cooperation.

RGPH-2 : Guylain Nyembo donne le coup d’envoi du recrutement des agents pour les opérations de cartographie censitaire

Le Ministre d'État @guylainnyembo_ , a animé ce lundi 1er juin 2026 une conférence de presse conjointe avec le Représentant résident de @UNFPARDC en RDC, marquant le lancement officiel du recrutement des agents qui participeront aux opérations de cartographie censitaire du deuxième Recensement Général de la Population et de l’Habitat (@rgph2rdc ).

À cette occasion, le Ministre d’État a rappelé l’importance du RGPH-2 comme outil stratégique de gouvernance et de planification du développement. Il a présenté les modalités de recrutement, les mécanismes garantissant la transparence du processus ainsi que les dispositions prévues pour assurer le bon déroulement des opérations sur l’ensemble du territoire national.

Répondant aux questions des journalistes, Guylain Nyembo a apporté des précisions sur le financement du recensement, les critères de sélection des candidats, la sécurisation des opérations et leur déploiement dans les zones confrontées à des défis sécuritaires. Il a également insisté sur la nécessité de préserver le caractère strictement technique et scientifique du recensement, à l’abri de toute considération politique.

Partenaire du Gouvernement dans la mise en œuvre du RGPH-2, l’UNFPA a réaffirmé son engagement à accompagner la RDC dans ce processus destiné à fournir des données fiables et actualisées, essentielles à l’élaboration des politiques publiques et à la planification du développement.

Nicholas Checker, @realDonaldTrump’s nominee for US Ambassador to Rwanda, sent to the Senate July 21 spent 2014-2025 at the @CIA and, since January, has run State’s entire Africa Bureau as its top official. Washington is parking its Africa point-man at the pivot of its Great Lakes minerals strategy.

The signal is the man. A career intelligence officer, not a development diplomat, arrives to enforce a Washington Accords framework that isn’t holding: 14,000+ Rwandan troops still in eastern #DRCongo, M23 still administering Goma, Bukavu and Rubaya, four rounds of US sanctions and counting.

It cuts two ways for Kigali. Kagame regime prefers security professionals to human rights desks and a CIA man means a relationship run on minerals and intelligence, not governance. But an ambassador who reads the same traffic is far harder to snow on RDF/M23 links.

Rwanda’s “diplomatic respectability” works less well against someone trained to disbelieve it.

What drops off the agenda: transnational repression, exile safety, press freedom, democratic space. A minerals for security bargain has no room for the Rwanda Classified file. Expect those traded off, not raised.
