A 76-year-old man, Trompie Kruger, was assaulted during a violent farm attack/robbery in Kameeldrift East, Pretoria, last night.

He was repeatedly struck over the head during a struggle in the kitchen, leaving a blood-soaked scene.

His wife and family were inside the home at the time.
