Antibiotics over-the-counter (OTC) in many countries.
Animal use up to 80% of all ABX (most OTC)!

Most doctors say “just stop OTC”

After a summit @WHO I am not sure this would be:
fair, just or possible

@sadiegiuliani We just implemented BioFire BCID2 and ran into the same problem. Was told that EPIC couldn’t indent the species underneath the Enterobacterales 🤷‍♂️ so we also just added clarification in guidance document as well.

Double checking against #CLSI,

Cefazolin MIC 8 should be resistant
PipTazo MIC 64 should be resistant.

Asked lab to re-run susceptibilities and extension to check cefoxitin.

Still working with lab to update MIC breakpoints.

BioFire BCID2 (-) for CTX-M and carbapenemases.

On piptazo EI, slowly improving. WBC 22 -> 16 in 3 days, devervesced after 1 day.

Would you use ceftriaxone or cefepime? Why?
