Thanks to @charlesallen, DC taxpayers may need to pay $600 million to keep Monumental Sports at Capital One arena. A decade ago, moving from then bustling Chinatown would have been an inconceivable business decision, so DC pays $0. Not anymore, with @councilofdc’s crime crisis.
Police recommending that DC residents put AirTags in their winter coats so they can be tracked after being stolen. What a sad state of affairs in the Capital city of the most powerful country on Earth.
TEEN SHOT AFTER SHOTS FIRED OUTSIDE SCHOOL--- KIPP at 1405 Brentwood Parkway NE DC. He's at the track with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Police are canvassing for the shooter.
Good morning DC. We’re starting the month of December w/ 911 carjackings. Based on past rate of crime, we’ll absolutely reach 950 before the end of the year and quite possibly 1000….without anyone from the DC Council doing anything to stop the crimes.
Good morning @charlesallen. 2 armed carjackings in the neighborhood yesterday. As the local Councilmember, please share your thoughts on what should happen to the carjackers. What should happen to the other 910 individuals who carjacked cars in DC this year?
The number of people who have messaged me tonight about how unacceptable @charlesallen’s response was to crime in DC is astounding.
Recall effort coming soon. DMs open if you’re interested in helping the #RecallCharlesAllen movement.
Honoring our veterans and Ward 6’s American Legion Post’s 100th anniversary today. Thanks to all our neighbors came out to show their appreciation, and to all our veterans throughout DC.
1/2 @charlesallen@mayorbowser: More antisemitic flyers were distributed in DC. The reporter is urging people to report this as a hate crime. @nbcwashington
When this happened on Capitol Hill in 2019, I reported it to MPD as a hate crime. But . . .

Shoutout to @FeverPotomac@BeeboDC for highlighting @charlesallen lack of action on tire & rim theft. I encourage ANCs to ask qs, obtain data, & share it. Create a public record of crime, one that can’t be ignored by the other DC Councilmembers.
Just when you think it couldn’t get worse for @Commanders & owner Daniel Snyder… DC Attorney General Karl Racine weighs in by filing a civil lawsuit against the @Commanders & Snyder & says “You can’t lie to DC residents & nobody is above the law”. @7NewsDC
"You can’t lie to D.C. residents in order to protect your image and profits and get away with it. No one… is above the law," says Racine about Snyder, the Commanders, the NFL, and Goodell.
So when is @tweetelissa going to concede? Apparently @KarlRacineDC isnt kingmaker media thought he was. I guess @charlesallen pro-criminal endorsement didn’t help her either. Congrats to @kenyanmcduffie and DC residents.
Update: 13,000 outstanding mail ballots have been counted in D.C., with 6,000 left to count tomorrow and a smaller number of late-arriving ballots thereafter. The At-Large race isn’t changing; @kenyanmcduffie is the apparent winner over @tweetelissa.
