Since Dubai has been in the news over the last couple of weeks, many people have jumped on the opportunity to regurgitate some old, outdated, misplaced tropes about the city (“fake” “artificial” “no nature”).
I’ve always maintained it’s one of the greatest cities in the world, with a treasure trove of art, history and culture. I guess the fault is partially ours for not sharing our little secret with the rest of the world earlier.
But it finally seems like a good time to celebrate this city, in a moment when it has shown more resolve, spirit and resilience than many bigger, older ones.
Super stoked to present an episode that was planned FOUR years ago: a two hour celebration of Dubai and Sharjah’s unique architecture, city planning and cultural history!
