Surveillance cameras captured the moment a burglar broke in through an air-conditioning duct on the roof and set off the alarm. Trying to escape, the intruder bolted for what looked like an exit door, only to find himself trapped in the specially designed corridor.

He was caught on video pacing anxiously and desperately attempting to pry open the walls, but there was no escape. Police soon arrived and arrested him while he was still stuck in the trap.

Who really chooses the contractor — the homeowner or the HOA?

A contractor is mid-job in an HOA neighborhood when a man starts asking detailed questions about his business. The contractor gets the feeling the guy is fishing for pricing so his son can grab the work instead.

Later, the man returns… this time with a letter from the HOA saying the contractor must fill out paperwork before ever working there again — and warns him he’ll never do business in the neighborhood if he refuses.

The contractor hands it to his lawyer.
The lawyer calls it harassment and sends a notice back: stop interfering or legal action is coming.

HOAs can set rules for insurance, licensing, and hours — but can they pressure homeowners into using certain contractors?

Can an HOA dictate who a homeowner hires to work on their own property?
