Dr. M.A. Jayashree is a retired Professor of Sanskrit, currently the director of Anantha Research foundation, Mysore, an institution engaged in foundational research work in the field of ancient sciences of India and also in the field of Sanskrit and Indian culture.

She holds a doctorate degree in #Sanskrit from Bangalore University on the topic, “Concept of Mind in Indian philosophy” completed under the guidance of Prof K. T. Pandurangi.

She has many books, monographs and papers to her credit in the fields of Sanskrit, Ancient Sciences, Indian history, Culture, Music and so on. She holds a vidvat (master) degree in Carnatic classical music and is a Performing Musician. She is an accomplished artist in Mysore school of painting. She is the Vidwatpramukh for ItihasaSankalanaSamiti, Karnataka chapter.

Why is India suddenly waking up now? Ignored the problem for 20+ years until it is exploding?
1) When USCIRF (US Commission on Intl Religious Freedom) was formed by Pres Clinton, I was the only Hindu attending its official hearings in its headquarters in Washington, DC. Since then I have engaged them personally multiple times.
2) I used to write online rebuttals to their annual reports, and tried to alert many folks who claim to speak for our culture - both official and self-appointed leaders. Nobody cared. In fact, a senior official told me to stop worrying because such organizations have no standing and we are more powerful, bla, bla, bla.... Sheer arrogance hiding incompetence!
3) So why should the media influencers suddenly discover what has built up openly for 2 decades?
4) This is one more instance of the deep tamas in our community from top leadership down to the masses - with rare exceptions.
5) What is the accountability of the politicians, diplomats, gurus, civic organizations like Sangh parivar, media, academicians....
6) Now USCIRF influence infiltrates all sorts of int'l bodies, spread like a cancer.
7) A young Pakistani PhD in Religious Studies from American University (under Prof Akbar Ahmad, former Pak High Commissioner to UK), writes the report on religious violence in South Asia. I have met him in their HQ and engaged him. A bright man well trained by his Islamic-Leftist handlers and planted to do this job.
8) I have repeatedly pointed out that there there has never been a single Hindu intellectual kshatriya as a Commissioner on this body. But every other religion is well represented. Each time I point this, stupid excuses are given by our own leaders.
Bottom line ==> Either dont worry, be happy, and stop whining about such episodes. Or DO something strategic.
