Huawei is reportedly building its own factory to make DRAM memory chips, which could eventually impact RAM prices for PCs and other devices.

Right now, most DRAM chips come from Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron.

If Huawei can successfully make its own DRAM chips, it could add more supply to the market and increase competition.
That doesn’t mean RAM will get cheaper overnight, new chip factories take years to ramp up but it could help bring prices down in the long run.

The move is part of China’s push to produce more of its own advanced chips instead of relying on overseas suppliers.

Went to Hunterston Sands yesterday for a beach hike/beachcombing with my girlfriend. It's across from the nuclear power plant but we were told its totally fine and safe and we have both been there before.

Soon as we got on the sandbar the place was reeking of sewage, decomposed toilet paper and sanitary pads everywhere. Googled a bit to find out what happened.

Turns out they had opened the sewer valve and I also found out that while the plant doesn't dump its nuclear waste there, they dump tritium and other radionuclides in the exact part where we beachcomb.
