So long as Israel is still allowed to compete, I won't be tweeting about the contest
KAN, as a Public Service Broadcaster, is in breach of EBU rules, and is assisting Israel's genocide of Palestine
#BanIsraelFromEurovision
the whole team of camera operators have a meeting before each run of show, where they go through the previous version every performance with the liveedit script, and make notes or tweaks.
they only make changes they themselves want, delegations can't make any requests.
so long as israel is allowed to compete, and compete in whatever way they want, the ESC will never be the same, nor will it survive much longer
the EBU itself is exclusively to blame, new kid Martin Green has very much made the situation worse
Pro-Israel groups are mobilising to manipulate the public vote at Eurovision.
Hereโs one such example shown to me this morning, mailed to all members of a German organisation with 10k+ members
@gordonrox i'm not, so long as *that* country is involved, I'm not involved.
most of the vendors do it themselves now, since they realised they can get the views I used to. and of course @ok_jnr has his usual round up video after the contest.
Swedish commentator Edward af Sillรฉn was obviously upset after the ad break clip about queer history of Eurovision?
"The most tone-deaf performance of tonight comes not from any artist, but from the hosts" ๐ฆ??

finally some clarity from the EBU
and it's damning
the EBU suspended Russia because the big boys told it to. same Big Boys told them to keep Israel in, so now there's "no consensus".
disband it. shut it down. the ebu does not serve its purpose anymore.
๐ก Martin Green has given an interview for Nieuwsuur and shared some more remarks on Eurovision's voting integrity:
"Although we have jurors to balance the vote, we will absolutely not tolerate this kind of activity. I think we may not have been strict enough in recent years."
sometimes i come back to this account and scroll through my feeds and it's genuienly like stepping back in time
i live in such a different online world now.
Spain and Netherlands are 2 of the top 6 financial contributors to the contest
the EBU must be open and transparent about how much Morrocoan Oil will be spending to make up the shortfall, which again brings the contest and the Union into disrepute.
the 70th ESC will be the last

*taps the sign*
The EBU, continuining to allow KAN's membership, has irreparably damaged the ESC.
Their reasoning for retaining KAN must now open the door for Russia and Belarus to return, as their Public Service Broadcasters are "not responsible" for their government's actions
One of the absolute best things about this Battlefield, EA has been working with creators of all sizes, big and small behind the scenes with studio visits and giving feedback in the development process. I've been involved for about 5 months in an incredibly small role.
They're not just bringing out the biggest creators, but dudes that have small followings that love the series.
Just seeing a AAA Studio and franchise taking feedback of people that have played the games for their entire life and actually be receptive to it is badass. We're in for a great Battlefield.
When you're watching the #Eurovision SF2 tonight, and the GF Satuday, Israel will be bombing children in Gaza. They know you're not looking, and know they can get away with worse than what they can get away with when you are looking, and not caring.
the EBU continuing to allow KAN be a member is putting the entire union of broadcasters in danger
KAN are an active participant in their government's genocide in Gaza
the EBU and Reference Group are on the side of Israel, politically, therefore nothing will be done.
A fair application of the EBU's rules on member's activities would have resulted in KAN's expulsion well over a year ago.
The EBU and the RG are choosing, in their own interest and not in the interest of the union, to keep KAN as a member, to keep Israel happy. #Eurovision
i made a really dumb"chariots of fire" video based on this clip when it happened, and @COTA sent me merch because of it
it was the start of a beautiful friendship
bike stops working THREE MINUTES before the session ends. he jumps over a fence, sprints through the pitlane to his garage, gets on a new bike, no warm-up, and qualifies P1.
truly deserves to be called one of the greatest of all time.
Big ol projection surface in the mddle of the stadium, and each of the ring of lighting pods have an Ayrton Cobra laser sourced fixture on them. #ClosingCeremony#Olympics
