I belong to the Gurjar community. Let me clarify. This so-called “maha-panchayat” may very well consist largely of his friends, family and a handful of supporters. It certainly does not speak for an entire community.

First, you have no proof that they were BJP workers & not ordinary people who threw eggs at you. People have endured your violent & oppressive regime for years; anger is natural.

The more I read about Periyar, the more I am convinced that he was a fanatic. His record includes fierce attacks on Hinduism, Tamil people and language, the Tricolor, and aspects of Indian culture.

Why waste time with India’s institutions when you can internationalise a domestic issue and create a spectacle?

Even if you genuinely suspected something was wrong, you pursue it domestically first. That’s called Opposition.

BJP spent years in Opposition without running to the UN over every domestic controversy. It even represented and supported the Government of India at international forums when required.

But your politics seems to have one upgrade: take every routine event, add some communal spin, and export it internationally.
