I don’t know that anything I’ve ever made has had as much pure creativity as what we’re doing w/ these films.
It’s really just about how we feel at that moment & what we can get done within a couple hours (at most) & that includes set up, editing & writing original music.
@JPWeiland@AlPackah@itsryharkness Thanks for all of your work. Do you know of any recent info on asymptomatic infections, or being infectious to others while asymptomatic? Early on it seemed like most info I read had roughly half of all transmission as asymptomatic, but I’ve never seen that updated for variants
With many people getting COVID from the summer surge, a reminder that the CDC's isolation guidelines are inadequate.
It's best to isolate until you test negative on multiple tests. If you can't stay home the whole time, wear an N95 mask to stop the virus spreading to others.
There's a lot of misinformation and little data in this piece on COVID and schools.
The facts:
COVID spread in schools
Closing schools reduced COVID spread
High levels of sickness have forced school closures
Millions of kids have Long COVID
245K kids lost parents to COVID
6) Wow, even CDC’s own website says: ➡️“over half” of all COVID community transmission comes from ***asymptomatic transmission***!
This statement by the same CDC that put out the other junk guidelines. Clearly there are many angry internal staff who disagree with new recs.
5) LONG COVID FORGOTTEN IN NEW RECOMMENDATIONS “The vast majority of all long COVID will come from these mild cases,” Feigl-Ding said.
Because vaccines and boosters can’t prevent all infections, instead working to prevent severe infections, it allows those with mild infections to continue to spread the virus to others and could increase the number of those suffering from long COVID in the future, experts say.

“We’ve known, there are lots of studies (that show) up to 50% of all cases are transmitted asymptomatically, which means fever is not the relevant thing here.” And many patients never develop a fever at all during a COVID-19 infection.

@CDCgov@CDCDirector 13) local cities in recent weeks prior to CDC announcement: “We expect the CDC to rescind the 5 day isolation period in the very near future. Once the CDC guidance is updated, 📌employees will no longer be eligible for Covid pay for any period of isolation.”🔥 #ThanksMandy
I am devastated—I saw with my eyes what’s coming from CDC tomorrow. My sources told me on what their rationale is based. And based on what I know (epidemiologist for 20 years)—it is complete bullshit crafted on thin flimsy data. I can’t believe CDC has such incompetent leaders.🧵
2020, the NYT: “In a disturbing parallel to HIV, coronavirus can cause a depletion of important immune cells.”
2022: “SARS-CoV-2 causes more T-cell death than HIV.”
2023, the Merck Manual: “Like HIV, SARS-CoV-2 causes lymphocytopenia.”
Corporate overlords: “It’s a cold. 😈”
Biden ran on a Covid plan which included paid time off work to allow those infected to remain at home. This promise was never kept and instead government policy has increasingly been to send people back to work when still infectious, allowing Covid to spread out of control.
At this point I feel like government has spent more time & resources trying to hide c0v1d and get people to accept 1000s of deaths/week than they ever did trying to actually get it under control.
“Brought COVID under control”
I’m begging to see receipts because… where?
2,000 COVID deaths per week in 2024 is hardly “bringing it under control.”
A million new COVID cases per DAY is hardly “bringing it under control.”
Biden rolling his eyes & cracking jokes about basic mitigations like masks is hardly “bringing it under control.”
Ending the emergency status and letting COVID rip while we’re currently facing the 2nd-largest surge since the pandemic began is hardly “bringing it under control.”
In fact, it is raging OUT OF CONTROL.
Right now. In February 2024.
It’s out of sight, out of mind with y’all and it’s fucking sad.
You’ve been duped.
Start paying attention because this ongoing pandemic affects all of us.
Fauci said in 2021 that Covid cases in the U.S. would need to fall "well below 10,000" per day before we could achieve a "degree of normality." We are at 1.3 million cases per day right now.
“Most people have immunity” and that’s why the US is currently in the 2nd largest wave on record.
“Most people have immunity” and that’s why 2000 Americans are dying of Covid each week & 34% more Americans 35-44 died than expected last year. (Likely a massive undercount)
