Fears of World Cup favouritism towards Argentina have been heightened after FIFA confirmed Lionel Messi's 'favourite referee' will officiate England's highly-anticipated semi-final. On Tuesday, it was confirmed that Ismail Elfath will referee the game in what will be the most
Love Harry Kane, but it wasn’t Gabriel Clarke who said England’s performance was poor, it was Thomas Tuchel. If managers show raw honesty like that - which I loved - of course any proper
journalist is going to ask the players what they think of what he said!
🚨🚨🎙️| Roy Keane to Alf-Inge Haaland after he claimed referees favoured England over Norway:
“Does he really remember the match he actually saw? He always seems to be drinking alcohol during the matches.”
Oh so you select when to be political. Well, so does the public. Like the rest have said, keep Jude Bellingham’s name out of your mouth. When it comes to sports he is English, right?! You won’t send him & his maternal side ‘home’.
Many need to stop constantly politicising the team. Not everything all the time has to always be about politics. We’re in the World Cup semi-final. Maybe we could just enjoy it without being at each other’s throats for a change.
🏴🚨 Thomas Tuchel on England facing Argentina in the semi finals:
🗣️: When you go against Argentina you need to be physically, psychologically, mentally and emotionally prepared because even the referees will test your patience.”
Kane & co please give Bellingham a lesson on the media. We know Jude likes to say what’s on his mind 😅 but it shouldn’t be infront of the media sometimes because they’re trying to get words out of his mouth. 🤦🏽♀️
ITV’s interview with Tuchel and Bellingham shows how cynical England/UK’s media is. Why would you try to drive a wedge between players & manager of your national team? Tuchel was right to give an honest assessment of his team. No need for that reporter to tell Bellingham.
Gabriel Clarke’s two interviews with Thomas Tuchel and Jude Bellingham were dreadful. Tuchel was very clear in his praise for England’s strength of character but he wasn’t happy with the performance. Clarke failed to understand Tuchel’s mentality comments. He then gave a misleading follow up to Bellingham which suggested to Bellingham that Tuchel was unhappy with the team. Unnecessarily disruptive and the wrong context of interviewing in two separate interviews.
