@muheediva01 I remember my grandparents landline to the point I have never programmed it into my phone. I dial it at least once a week and never bothered to save it lol. Mom never had one, but I also have her cell of 18+ years memorized.
as an author who did write a long fic (88k) (it took me 5 months):
no one wants to read a wip, low engagement.
you finish your wip and people still won’t read it bc it’s not exactly the right characterisation of the characters.
(just read HR if you only want RR’s version)
@HumanosRaw Some of us have medication that can not be replaced, ID documents that will be required, and essentials for minor loved ones that literally sit at our feet during an emergency…. But fuck me for grabbing my purse/carry on
Rereading old fics and cringing at them is normal and expected. Encouraging, even. Now, rereading old fics and experiencing a stab of fear (irrational or otherwise) that you will never be able to cook like that again? That's terrifying. Soul-crushing. It's happening to me.
@atirednarwhal Figured I’d let you know I had surgery on April 1 … not a joke. They tore me APART… but I found a VERY good surgeon. Long story short, she did what would have been three surgeries in one … and now it’s just about healing. It’s been rough, but … hey my liver might be fine!
what do you mean i have to get up and be a professional again tomorrow, i’ve done nothing but watch heated rivalry and mess up my sleep schedule for the last two weeks 🚬
@atirednarwhal I am meeting with a specialist on Friday to see if there are any other options, but yeah. They found endo in so many places, specifically on my liver and binding my intestines, & meds/surgery has been unsuccessful…. So I have that long to figure it out before my liver is done
