@JamesCz19 I think you actually may be in agreement with Haidt about this. If I recall correctly, a good half of Anxious Generation is about the importance of real world independence in childhood.
I’ve met countless talented young journalists who chose to leave journalism for careers that once seemed more stable, like tech, finance, law. But now, AI is rapidly reshaping many of those entry-level professions, too.
I’m in USA Today making the case that young journalists (especially conservatives) should give journalism another look, particularly if they’re committed to the kind of shoe-leather reporting AI can’t replicate. (NB:I didn’t write the headline.)

Are you disappointed with Congress recently? Many Americans are.
However, with the upcoming Surface Transportation Reauthorization Congress has a chance to prove itself to the American people.
I discuss this opportunity in my inaugural piece for @dcexaminer
🧵
For the first time in our history, Young Voices is hiring a full‑time content creator — and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome Maggie Anders ( @maggiemoda ) to the team. 🎥🔥
Maggie is one of the liberty movement’s sharpest digital communicators, bringing her experience from the Foundation for Economic Education, where she produced vertical videos and hosted the Undoctrination podcast.
She’s also been a standout member of our Contributor Program, building an audience of 100K+ across TikTok, Instagram, and X with her fast‑paced commentary on economic freedom and culture. 📱✨
And she’s already making waves. The same week she joins our staff, Maggie appeared on Fox News — a clip that’s now at 6M views on X and climbing. Her ability to shape conversations across both legacy media and social platforms is exactly why this role matters. 📈
As Young Voices continues its transformation into a digital‑first organization, Maggie will not only elevate our commentary but also work closely with our programs team to help train and amplify the next generation of creators.
In her own words:
“I am so excited to join the team at Young Voices! Big conversations are happening online. The future of our country demands that classical liberal values not only have a seat at the table, but lead political discourse. With Young Voices’ expansion into the digital content creation space, we are securing that lead. I am grateful to work alongside a team with a proven track record of engaging and training the rising voices of our movement.”
The liberty movement needs more voices willing to meet the moment — and we’re thrilled to have Maggie on board. 🌟
It’s Final Four day. Millions are making predictions on platforms like Polymarket — but Congress is trying to take that away.

Is free speech dead at British universities? 🇬🇧🔥
One student dared to find out — and paid a heavy price.
💡Young Voices UK contributor Samiksha Bhattacharjee re-started the UCL Libertarian Society to give students access to ideas they weren't getting in the classroom.
When she hosted a women's rights and free speech event, the backlash was immediate:
🔹 Her students' union called it "objectionable"
🔹 She lost friends
🔹 Her treasurer resigned
🔹 Her guest speaker was targeted with vile personal attacks online
And the union? Silent. 🤐
The union president admitted the only thing stopping them from cancelling was the law. "There is nothing we can do legally."
But Samiksha hosted the event anyway. 💪
"The price of freedom is the loss of belonging and popularity. As long as the alternative is a moral wasteland of conformity and fear — that's a price I'm willing to pay."
Young Voices is proud to platform fearless voices like Samiksha's. 🌟

The U.S. already has one of the highest incarceration rates in the world — yet violent crime remains a central concern in national politics.
Is the answer more prisons, or are we missing the root causes entirely? 🤔

Thank you for highlighting my piece, Congressman!
Rep. Fleischmann is right—AI data centers create near-perfect conditions for the SMR industry, which is uniquely positioned to meet their rising energy demand off the grid cleanly, efficiently, and reliably.
The innovation economy is growing, but only in places prepared to support it.
