Ronaldo is already the exception, but you people refuse to give him credit for it.
The guy went from being one of the most explosive wingers football has ever seen to becoming one of the greatest goalscorers ever. He lost the dribbling volume, lost some of the acceleration, lost some of the flair, yet somehow became even more productive.
Most players decline when their athleticism goes. Ronaldo rebuilt his game completely. He learned movement, box occupation, aerial dominance, finishing variety and chance selection at a level few forwards in history have reached.
Thatโs why the Mbappe conversation is even Funny. The question isnโt whether heโll lose a step, he will. Everybody does. The question is whether he can evolve the way Ronaldo did.
Because what made Ronaldo special wasnโt just the physical gifts. It was the willingness to reinvent himself every few years.
Very few players in football history have managed that. Ronaldo did.
A young fish asks an older fish, "I'm trying to find this thing they call the ocean."
The older fish says, "That's what you're in right now."
The young fish replies, "This is water. What I want is the ocean."
@maybe80tweets@_kayode__ If you've played football you would know the reason he stopped running and you would also know why it was possible for Cavani to get close to the ball and win it
@shaayy64@DChopkins98@BrokenGamezHDR_ Kratos killed Odin who probably killed tyr (the God of War in Ragnarok). So technically Kratos is the new God of War in the Nine realms
