The biggest moments in softball don’t just test your swing or your glove—they test your heart. When the game is on the line, it’s easy to let fear, doubt, or past mistakes take over.

God’s Word gives us a different game plan: stay alert, stand firm in your faith, be courageous, and be strong. That kind of strength isn’t about acting fearless. It’s about trusting that God is with you whether you’re celebrating a walk-off win or learning from a tough loss.

Your identity was never meant to be found in batting average, recruiting attention, or the scoreboard. It’s found in Christ. Stand firm in Him, and the pressure won’t define you—it will reveal the faith He’s building in you.

🙏 Prayer

Lord, help me stand firm when pressure comes. Give me courage to trust You more than my fears, and let my confidence come from who You say I am, not from my performance. Help me choose Faith > Fear in every moment and be a light to those around me. Amen.

Devotional Thought

Every athlete has moments when things don’t go as planned. You strike out, miss the play, lose your starting spot, or wonder if recruiting will ever work out. In those moments, it’s easy to question your ability—and sometimes even God’s plan.

Psalm 138:8 is a reminder that God doesn’t quit on what He creates. He’s still working in your life, even when you can’t see the results yet. The delay isn’t the end. The setback isn’t your identity. Keep putting in the work, keep honoring Him, and trust that He’s shaping you into the athlete and person He created you to be.

Your value was never determined by a scoreboard, a stat sheet, or an offer letter. It’s determined by the One who promises to finish what He started.

Remember this: God is still writing your story—don’t stop trusting Him before He finishes the chapter.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for never giving up on me. Help me trust Your plan when I don’t understand the season I’m in, and give me the courage to keep competing with faith, humility, and confidence. Amen.
