#WritingCommunity Is it normal to read the rough draft of your WIP and think “this is hot garbage and should never see the light of day”?
A friend of mine wants to know.
I don’t know who needs to hear this right now, but I sure do:
Write even when the world is chaotic. You don't need a cigarette, silence, music, a comfortable chair, or inner peace to write. You just need ten minutes and a writing implement.

I am blocked, but it is completely my own doing. I’m afraid to write about my character’s pain because I don’t want to add to my own right now. Life, why must you imitate art?

I’m supremely thankful for #CampNaNoWriMo this year. Getting back into writing has helped me feel grounded, finally. My goal is to finish my rough draft, but I am going to be gentle on myself no matter what happens. And you should be gentle on yourself, too. #StayHomeWriMo
Working from home is cool, but my coworker likes to smash her paw into my keyboard when she wants attention. It’s only a matter of time until I send an unfinished email with gibberish...
Me: Have I washed my hands enough today?
My head: No.
My hands: Your skin is so dry it can no longer host any living matter.
Me: Better wash my hands again just to be safe.
