@anthonycal13@fhjckaka@JacksonCollier I never said Philon wasn’t good. Philon is a true point guard but had to play off ball. Leek had a better freshman year and was more productive.
@fhjckaka@anthonycal13@JacksonCollier Philon had to play off ball last year. He also shot 31% from three last year. Coming back was beneficial because he showed he could be on ball with a higher usage rate and be productive. Leek is getting drafted as a shooting guard, he did a great job shooting the ball.
@anthonycal13@JacksonCollier Going back can tank your stock, look at Tahaad Pettiford and Karter Knox. Meleek has more on tape than Philon and Quickley did as freshmen. Quickley only played 18 minutes at Kentucky and averaged 5 pts. Meleek played next to an All-American and was highly productive.
@StatsOverWins@nbafuturenow Acuff and Burke’s games aren’t similar at all. Acuff is bigger, stronger, and more physically ready than Burke. Acuff is a better and more efficient shooter. Acuff was a high-usage guard who barely turned the ball over. The defensive concern is different too.
@JacksonCollier Usually, I would be mad about getting another 200 pound center, however that’s Thon Maker lil cousin. Plus he’s most likely a development piece like how Semedo was.
@KyleGoCards I think because you guys have Flory and arkansas doesn't have a center, arkansas fans thought that was the main draw. But going to Louisville actually makes sense for him and his development long term.
@Hogballburner Wanted him at Arkansas, but I understand the logic. As a reclass kid, the SEC is a gauntlet to start in. Being a backup at Louisville lets him navigate those growing pains with way less pressure. Sometimes the "safe" developmental path is the smarter one long-term.
@dogtowndynasty@PGentryMagicUK@JoeTipton@TransferPortal@On3 I do think Arkansas would’ve been a better fit for DJ role with Jordan coming in versus last year with Darius coming in. Jordan is not a lead guard yet. However, it’s his senior year and he probably wants to go to a team where he has the keys to the offense.
@PGentryMagicUK@JoeTipton@TransferPortal@On3 It’s not Cal fault DJ can’t shoot or finish around the basket. Cal literally got a projected top 10 pick who played in the same offense.
