Pastors naturally teach theology in the pulpit. Other fields will frequently be included in the teaching for a strong, relatable message. One of those other fields should necessarily be branches of science at times. But here is where pastors must be careful. If you make claims that “sound good” to back up the Bible, but are demonstrably false, people will know. This hurts the cause of truth in the end. Tread very carefully when out of your field of expertise.
