@Dogen I am American, and I could not agree more. We are having the same problem over here and are viewed as the cause when none of us wanted this either. What makes Japan, Japan, is that it is Japan. I am full on for nationalism. I often worried of Japan becoming diluted.

@theWellRedMage Not sure where skyrim would land for me, but as far as rpgs go it is fun and engaging but not what I think of as an rpg per se and if in that category then definitely far down the list, despite my liking skyrim. Way too much apples to oranges for me.

But if not going to play entire series I would say 4, 5, 6, 8, and 11. Probably 8 would be the safest one and done first if not interested in the entire series.

@Genki_JPN Surprised it did not sell better on the switch 2, especially with Amiibo. My handheld experience whether it has been amazing. At final boss on lunatic mode at the moment. Game has been an absolute delight, and no glitches at all. Might be a late bloomer for Nintendo.
