Every time you hear someone worried about a recession remind them that Biden just created 390,000 jobs and unemployment is close to historic all time lows.
The monthly @BLS_gov jobs report is out, and it is another good one.
And it's time for our monthly #Jobsday thread!
33.8m jobs - 16 years Clinton Obama
8.7m jobs - 16 months Biden
1.9m jobs - 16 yrs of 2 Bushes Trump
4 times more Biden jobs than last 3 Rs COMBINED. 1/
The yearly rate of U.S. inflation fell to 8.3% in April to mark the first decline in eight months. The increase in the so-called core rate of inflation, which omits food and energy, over the past year slowed to 6.2% from a 40-year high of 6.5% in March.

BREAKING: new CPI report shows inflation SLOWED down in April compared to March, likely indicating prices will continue to moderate through the rest of the year.
โFor the 158 million [Americans] who are employed, prospects havenโt been this bright since men landed on the moon.โ #BidenBoom https://t.co/4YyGsJObAz
BREAKING: 428,000 new jobs created in April, extending the strongest streak of jobs growth in American history. Unemployment rate stayed at the rock bottom level of 3.6% #BidenBoom
Hereโs the rub: Trump is running again and heโll be the GOP nominee. We need to spend every single day between now and then spreading the word about the #BidenBoom so that he doesnโt sucker Americans into believing he would be better for the economy again.
Trump is running, barring a significant change, and all the private laughing at him + lack of standing up to him by other Rs isnโt going to change that
Bidenโs actions to release oil from the SPR is going to hit markets in a major way in the coming weeks and crush oil prices. Once the price of gas drops what will the media find to blame on Biden next?
A wave of emergency oil supplies are set to hit the U.S. starting in May and threatens to turn the market on its head, going from severely undersupplied to oversupplied in a matter of months https://t.co/GMHYpcMSsr
Good thread to put breathless inflation headlines into context. Headline inflation likely peaked in March, and will steadily fall the rest of the year. Core inflation is already lower. Oil prices have dropped significantly, which means gas prices at the pump will fall too.
Inflation is a very important concern right now, but breathless headlines overstate the point.
Most private-sector forecasts see inflation as peaking this month or maybe next (if more bad things don't happen), so hold on... things may be about to get better.
@JessicaTaylor Thatโs not a given. 1982 was not a notably bad midterm for Republicans, especially in the Senate. Perception of inflation, driven by news coverage, impacts the electoral prospects more than the specific basis point change.
Joe Biden - his low approval ratings are baffling to me. A thread.
The economy is soaring. It has recovered most (more than 90%) of the pandemic job losses.
7.9 million jobs under the Biden Administration, more jobs created over the first 15 months of any Presidency ever.
ICYMI: a report out this morning showed that the fewest American workers were laid off last week than in 54 years. The #BidenBoom is alive and well people.
