@FPL_Marcello Not trying to argue, mate. I was just trying to understand why having to shift funds later doesn’t concern you. I always enjoy hearing other people’s reasoning behind how they build their teams. Just looking to have a positive discussion and understand your thinking.
@FPL_Marcello I was only trying to have a simple conversation about how difficult it is to shift funds to a more expensive attacker, and you couldn’t respond with any counter point. It’s all good, I was just looking for more reasoning to two 4.5m forwards, that’s all.
@FPL_Marcello My team has been a auto-pick team and will be so until a few days before the deadline. I’d be very surprised if you still started with two 4.5m forwards once pre-season is over.
@FplMode@FFScout “Must do better” at what? Do you think you need to please the app to give yourself the best chance of a good start? I’d much rather build my own team than have an app tell me who to pick.
@LetsTalk_FPL I think FPL is missing a genuine rival to Haaland. In previous seasons, having Salah at a similar price made team selection much more interesting. I like Bruno, but I don’t think he’ll consistently match the output of Haaland or Salah.
I don’t watch much La Liga, but from what I’ve seen of Vinicius in the Champions League and for Brazil, surely he’d be priced at 10.0m or more if he joined the Premier League? I actually think that would be great for FPL, as it would make team structures much more diverse.
@Helderfigs Yeah, that’s my thinking as well. I also think it becomes much easier to fit in premium players when you don’t have the extra 3.0m to 5.0m tied up in Haaland. Players like Gabriel and Bruno etc would become very easy picks.
@JibzFPL@Lukzinho31@FPL_Harry Villa is a wait-and-see for me. Konsa is always good value for rotation, but with the losses of Rogers, Digne, and Tielemans, plus the added European fixtures, I’m not sure they’ll do as well this season.
@FlapjackFpl Aside from a handful of top teams elsewhere in Europe, the overall standard in the Premier League is much higher than in the other top leagues.
@ryanator109@FPL_Harry Yeah, I confused myself a bit. I was deciding between Lammens, Raya and Donnarumma at the same time, while also trying to work out which defenders I’d want from United, Arsenal or City.
Raya is a 10.0 goalkeeper. If you own him, it’s very likely you’ll play him every week, so having a 4.0 backup makes sense. However, I think there’s more value in pairing a 4.5 and 5.0 or 5.5 goalkeeper for rotation, injuries, and potentially saving 0.5m.
