I have decided to stop the FPL Impulse YouTube channel.

Over the last few months I realised I mainly enjoy sharing my own team, and as I moved towards only doing that I was not really adding anything useful for people watching.

My channel analytics back that up and it is completely fair.

I will still play FPL because I enjoy it, I just do not see the point in posting team updates on YouTube if I am not offering more than that.

Thanks to everyone who watched or supported the channel at any point. I really appreciate it 🫶

I have found a team I absolutely love!

Very subject to preseason as a few players could be minutes risks (for now), but I get to Bench Boost GW1 and the fixtures are incredible for this team over the first 6-7 gameweeks at least.

My plan this year is to take a step back from spending too much time obsessing over FPL, so I'm going to make a conscious effort to stay away from watching and reading too much content from now until the week the season starts so I don't tie myself up in knots like I usually do...

...and avoid changing my team a million times 😂

@GameweekGuru Completely agree, there's only so long that Emery can keep performing miracles and they got away with it at times last season, not sure they will again

Could be interesting for FPL because MacPhee is creative and comes up with some genuinely interesting set piece routines

Just not sure how easy they are to predict who will be the main beneficiaries

I'll be honest, lots of people are saying "the game is too easy", but I haven't seen a single Bruno + Haaland + Gabriel draft that I actually like.

Even most Bruno + Haaland drafts I don't think look great and they lack balance imo -but that could just be because we haven't had any exciting enablers emerge yet.

And honestly although I know what you mean on Haaland there just isn't enough premium players imo to warrant going without him and being super punished every time he scores a brace / hattrick 😅

It's high risk for sure but also think it can be worth it even just getting 8-10pts

Only because it's such a headache to plan for in the first half of the season when it's only single gameweeks as well

Saying that, going Bruno to Mbuemo for example would help make it a strong BB I think

Hahaha probably a good idea for the mental health! Especially with the buggy FPL app 😂 I'm trying to stay away from too many drafts now as best I can

Yeah agree! And that's what I don't want to sacrifice, I don't want to have a terrible defence and bench, I don't want to have terrible either tbh

Only reason to go for an Ipswich defender is they are so cheap with possible 4pts with DEFCON but can't be relying on them every week
