Today is International We Are Not Broken Day. A day dedicated to promoting resilience and empowerment among individuals and communities. This day serves as a reminder that no matter what challenges we face, we are not broken.

When I was the Under Secretary of Defense, I signed a policy to implement the Brandon Act and improve the process for service members to seek mental health support. The Brandon Act, will allow service members to seek help confidentially, for any reason, at any time, in any environment, and aim to reduce the stigma associated with seeking mental health care.

Whether it is our service members or residents of the San Gabriel Valley. I will use my experience in Congress and the Executive branch to improve our mental healthcare system and accessibility for all Americans. We honor Petty Officer Brandon Caserta and all who have lost their lives to suicide.
