I wonder what percentage of millionaires own no assets.

No real estate, no stock, no Bitcoin.

Just high salaries, a savings account, and living in a rental.

Pretty confident it's < 1%.

@jamesm4191 Great example - at least you knew what you were buying and you own that RE now. Stock ended up going up, but it could have gone down! I'm on board with your decision

Countless stories about early employees at Tesla, Amazon, or Nvidia.

Sold their stock 15 years ago but it would be worth millions if they kept it.

But many other people held single stocks until they were worth nothing.

Taking profits and reducing risk is still smart.

Many "retired-early" folks sit around and deprive themselves as they try to stretch $500k over 40 years.

This is just quitting and leading an unfulfilling life.

True financial independence is not just retiring early, but having enough passive income to enjoy your life too.
