Madrid fans please 😭😂, can you breathe for a second? One nice cross and suddenly Yan Diomandé is the next footballing phenomenon.
Let the boy play and develop before you people start making compilations, comparing him to legends and claiming Madrid have discovered another generational talent. 😂 He did well, no doubt, but the way you lot overhype every decent performance, you’d think he just won the Ballon d’Or.
We’ve seen this movie before. 😂 Let’s wait until the hype train reaches the next station before declaring him world-class.
@petithazard2 The funniest part is how confidently they made it look like everything was under control 😭. All that talk about having a plan, then deadline day comes and suddenly Gusto is the midfield solution. 😂
Chelsea recruitment is genuinely its own comedy genre at this point.
I agree. I genuinely think we have a good chance of winning it this season. The quality is there, especially going forward.
The biggest thing is getting our defence sorted out early and finding some consistency at the back. If we can do that and get a favourable draw by avoiding the big sides until the later stages, there’s no reason Chelsea can’t go all the way.
But then, why isn’t Lamine Yamal on your list? 🤔 If we’re talking about the best players in the world based on current form and performances, you can’t mention Mbappé, Olise and Kane while leaving Yamal out completely. He’s been one of the most influential young players in world football and deserves to be part of that conversation too.
We already have enough young players in our hands to develop. I’m not saying JJ Gabriel isn’t talented, but at some point we have to trust and give opportunities to the young players we’ve already invested in. There’s no point constantly stacking more prospects when we haven’t even fully developed the ones already at the club.
@Blue_Footy Chelsea and another teenage wonderkid? At this point, just give me a midfielder and a defender first. We have enough young talent to develop already. If JJ Gabriel is genuinely that good, then fine, but Chelsea need to start balancing the squad instead of collecting prospects.
I don’t have a specific name cos I’m not a scout. But if Chelsea themselves looked at the free-agent market for midfield options, then surely there were players they considered good enough to at least explore.
I’m not saying we should sign just anyone for the sake of it. My point is, if the club identified the need and actually searched the market, there must have been options worth considering.
This is exactly what I was afraid of. Reece James and João Pedro not even involved in the first part of training is a massive concern, especially with Brentford away coming up.
Caicedo’s absence alone changes the balance of this team. Take him out and we lose so much protection in front of the defence, and with Reece potentially missing too, we could be seriously exposed against a Brentford side that loves to make games uncomfortable.
And this is why I keep questioning the decision not to add another midfielder. We knew the squad was short in that area, we had the opportunity to strengthen, and now we’re potentially going into a difficult away game without one of our most important players.
Hopefully this is just precautionary and all three are back soon. We cannot afford another injury crisis this early in the season. 🔵
🚨🔵 JUST IN: Moises Caicedo, Reece James & Joao Pedro NOT involved in first part of training today.
Marco Palestra and Jordan Henderson involved.

Exactly. If the club explored options to strengthen the midfield and Alonso decided to stick with what he has, then he has to own that decision.
Caicedo being out already shows how thin we are in that area. If the midfield collapses, the defence gets exposed and results start going against us, Alonso can’t point to the lack of options as an excuse when he was offered the chance to add one.
This is why the decision not to bring in another midfielder could come back to bite us. Caicedo is out and Reece is out, and suddenly there’s a massive hole in the protection and balance of the team.
Against Brentford, you can’t afford to be this open. Chelsea knew the squad needed more midfield depth and still chose to wait until January. Now we’re going into a difficult away game praying we have enough to survive.
This is exactly why Chelsea should’ve signed another midfielder. Take Caicedo out of this team and suddenly the whole structure looks exposed. Now with Reece also out, we’re losing protection and stability in two key areas.
And with João Pedro potentially missing too, Brentford away is looking even uglier. We had the chance to add depth and chose not to. Now we’re going into a difficult game hoping the squad holds together.
@Blue_Footy I understand why he chose to leave. At this point, Nkunku just needed to play football and feel important again.
Chelsea simply didn’t work for him, and sometimes a fresh start is better than forcing a situation that clearly isn’t clicking.
@CFCPys@JamesSavundra Honestly, this is frustrating. 😭 Brentford away is already a tough game and now we’re potentially going into it without Caicedo, Reece and João Pedro.
At this point, I just want everyone healthy for the international break. We really can’t afford another injury pile-up.
@TheBlueDodger@JamesSavundra Not the update I wanted to see. Caicedo, Reece and João Pedro missing training before Brentford away is concerning.
At least Palestra and Henderson are back involved. We need all the bodies we can get right now.

This is what worries me about Lavia. It’s not just about one bad game anymore, something has clearly been missing since he came back from that injury. The sharpness, intensity, confidence on the ball… he just doesn’t look like the same midfielder.
But I’m not ready to write him off. We’ve seen what he can do when he’s fully fit and in rhythm. Chelsea need to be patient with him, but Lavia also needs to start showing us something soon.
The talent is there, but time isn’t waiting.
