Ron Washington has reportedly reached out to the Texas Rangers expressing interest in rejoining the organization, per DLLS Rangers.
Washington, 73, parted ways with the Angels in September after serving as their manager for the past two seasons.
The timing is notable, as Texas currently has a vacancy at third base coach following Tony Beasley’s announcement that he will not return in 2026.
“Wash” previously spent eight seasons as the Rangers’ manager from 2007–2014, leading the club to back-to-back World Series appearances, before serving as a third base coach with the Athletics and Braves from 2015-2023.
I'm excited to announce my commitment to Howard Payne University as I continue my baseball and academic career. I would like to thank God for this opportunity and for my family, friends, coaches, and teammates. #StingEm
